#1 Post by Brightyoungthing »

Hello!
During one of my recent concerts, I was standing in the front row. Neil came close, stopped in front of me, and seemed to look at me.
That moment means a lot to me.
What are your thoughts on that moment? How would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10?

I got hit by a newspaper thrown by Neil at the Pandemonium tour during West End Girls. He looked directly at me and threw it at me - still got it ❤️ even though it seems to be in Polish!
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I also remember shouting at Chris to cheer up at a date on the Release tour. Both Neil and Chris laughed - love it!

“Glance” would be a great PSB title.

What matters is how you rate it! I always wanted to be noticed from the stage but Neil is very busy doing what he does, so a brief glance is all most of us will receive if lucky!

Walking by Chris place in Highbury circa 1987ish and he came out, smiled and got in his car. Still recall that smile.

I opened this thread because I thought it might be the name of a new EP or song coming with Annually!

Obviously a bit disappointed.

Any new thread that has a one-word title is pure click bait...

Think it happened to me at the Budapest concert but I felt it was more of a surprised look than a glance, surprised over what? Well, I cannot tell you.

'Glance' is a very PSB word somehow, but only features in 'One Night', 'New London Boy' and 'The Dead Can Dance', at least according to ChatGPT.

I agree it would make a great title for a PSB song or even album.
Love comes quickly, but is a catastrophe and a bourgeois construct etc.

Eye contact at a concert is pretty standard.
I've never seen PSB live, but it would feel special to experience this.

BTW when I saw Human League, I met the band afterwards and they complimented me and my friend.
I hugged Phil, Susan and Joanne. Spoke with them for a little, I spoke about with Phil about This Used To Be The Future.
Got a photo together and everything. Pretty nice experience, you can imagine the euphoric high.

This year at New Order, I was basically stood directly in front of Bernard Sumner. He kept coming back to the same place where I was. I danced and sung along with him for like 90 minutes. It was totally surreal, like being so connected with my 2nd favourite artist.

OMD and Softcell this year too, moments of attention and eye contact.

That is so incredible!
