The text below is a quote from FT this weekend. Very clearly Hedi Slimane has a fab following. Where Ford made porno-chic for Gucci women, Slimane has been doing pure porno for Dior women. Slimane's men's line though is wearable - insofar as one can lay hands on it (sold only in three shops in Paris, London and NY)...

"A few names from the past appeared on the Paris schedule for the first time in a while – Thierry Mugler and Kenzo – while another well-known brand, Emanuel Ungaro, showed menswear for the first time. Maybe they sensed the time was right to promote their brand DNA, to make sure their public gets what it wants. In front of Mick Jagger, The Pet Shop Boys and a Scissor Sister, Slimane showed a troupe of skinny models in 1970s Paul Weller haircuts, two-tone suits, narrow hipped Sta-pressed trousers, dark denim and lots of skinny braces in red, black and white. There were chequerboard patterns, Harrington-style jackets, white socks, pointed shoes and pork pie hats."

Well, French fashion is on an ascendency I think. Dior Homme and YSL S/S collections were both really good.

It's a shame we can't see what trousers Chris was wearing during the Moscow show. His top was Y3, obviously and the cap -which I bought today

- is Prada. Black nylon with a leather adjustable band. A rip off for 110 Euro (40% off the original asking price).

Well. Slimane is very slim. Really is and that makes it harder for men built like you (and even me). However, YSL spring 2006 is really good unlike my fetish designer Barrett whose winter 2005-6 is good if not excellent and summer next year, well, acceptable.

Found five suits in sales on Saturday - three Cornelianis, one Gucci and one Bouvy (non branded Belgian menswear shop). And some shoes...

On the boys dressing, Neil seems to stick to basic jeans a lot and then the safe Prada black nylon jacket. At least in the pre-show pics...

Prada and Porsche and Philip Stark..... Although Chris hasn´t got Porsche anymore.

Something which has surprised me a bit in Neil's "rock/pop" star looks is that since the last five-seven years , it's almost similar cut three button suits with a dark single button collar shiny shirt, all buttons closed. Occasionally, he adds a cowboy hat.

On more relaxed look, it's pretty uniformal too: jeans, mostly dark (could think of gucci or ysl, for example) and black prada jacket in various versions.

Although the cap Chris wore during the Live8 show was infact Stussy and not Prada.

There's nothing to suggest it was Stussy on the leaked footage, as far as I can see, and it looks identical to my Prada.

Fair enough, though if someone is clever enough to take a screen grab from the Domino Dancing performance your clearly see it is infact a Stussy trucker ball cap. I didn't think Prada had jumped on the 'Trucker' ball cap band waggon...??

I don't know, I only got the cap because I liked it, not to have the same one as Chris, but they look the same to me.

You know my opinion of the idea of paying 100 euro for a cap... Got already enough comments about buying the Comme des Garcons t-shirt at half price last week... I blame it on you - inspirational figure!
