MegaMix 2005 mixes on zyx

#1 Post by joeythecat »

I finally picked this up, and what a shoddy collection.
First off this does not contain the original mix of "one more chance" as advertised.
As the title suggests it is a megamix, And to my surprise, they used the 1985 Stephen Hague mix of "West end Girls" as the basis for the "2005 house mix," complete with Helena Springs backing vocals.
While I understand PSB don't have the rights to the Bobby O recordings from 1984, how can this label release a remix of the re-recorded version?
I guess nobody noticed.

It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.

I got this cd and I got bored of it, what a waste of money. It doesnt properly use the 84 version of both songs. And it keeps bouncing back and forth to the same songs anyway. Bad way to do megamixes.
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

Well done. I missed that thread. No news I suppose. Really, it is a shame tho, because they really could have done somehing interesting with the old versions of one more chance and west end girls. The way they have done it seems more like an insult.
