Favourite lyric line?

#1 Post by Pertan »

What is your favourite PSB lyric line?

I'm not sure of mine but DJ Culture's

"Attitudes are materialistic, positive or frankly realistic
Which is terribly old-fashioned, isn't it?"

is really nice.

Looking at this line it all comes back to me again. I once got to know such a person and I fell in love. The other person did not. Our friendship lastet for half a year and then we broke up completely. Think I won't ever meet someone like this again. And that's a sad thing.

Are we talking about PSB here?

I'd say 'All the love that we had and the love that we hide, who will bury us, when we die?'

and...

'Remember when you were more easily led, behind the cricket pavilion and the bicycle shed'

Can't say what's my favourite, really.
This e.g. I've always liked ;)

For I was in the nude the old Queen disapproved
But people laughed and asked for autographs

Dave
Actually
"All the love that we had and the love that we hide, who will bury us, when we die?"
is really good.

Agree with you

...I was a lonely boy,
no strength, no joy,
in a world of my own
at the back of the garden.

There comes a time in everyone's life
When all of the parties every night
They're not enough
You want something more (Tell me)
I want you
I want you

there so many, that one just came in my head :P

I really like "I never dreamt that I would get to be
the creature that I always meant to be"

Love the ambisexual lyrics to West End Girls not only the "East End boys and West End girls" reference but also the line "Which would you choose: a hard or soft option?"
They make a little go along way.. very Minimal but Fundamental.

Summer sands have lost their charm
Let 'em go
Autumn winds will do no harm
Let 'em blow

Will tears at last precede the turn
from summer warmth to sudden cold
as certainly as growing old?

Many roads will run through many lives
but somehow we'll arrive
Many roads will run through many lives
but somewhere we'll survive

You know, when you think about it a bit., there are MANY good phrases in their songs... i love the one Glenny's chosen as well..

as well as the first PSB phrase i liked

"She made(makes?) you
Some kind of laughing stock
Because you dance to disco
And you dont like rock"

The way he sings "At night it hits me cold / There's so much more to life than I'll ever know" I've always liked.
