Has anyone managed to buy this record in a UK shop yet?

How the hell is this going to chart?
Not in any shops in the uk (including the BIG hmv flagship stores), i've ordered it direct from kompact, as per the offical website link, still waiting for it to arrive, and as they're based non-uk it wont count towards a UK chart placing.
Farcical.
No radioplay, no music channel plays (not surprised with that excuse of a "video")
Still....girls aloud number one so not all bad....

HMV and Zavvi have pretty much given up on singles, haven't they? I haven't even bothered looking for the single in store, to be honest.

I wonder if it has actually been put back to 3 November in the UK. The HMV site gave 27 October as the release date previously.

I see HMV's online store is as bollocks as ever. I gave up on them long ago as nothing ever arrived on time. I think I ended up cancelling more orders than what I received.

I checked around London last week hoping for a Promo copy, but both Fopp and Sister Ray had it arriving 27th Oct.

When is the download available? On Beatport?
I cant buy from iTunes UK.

You should have asked to buy mine. The packaging is so cheap I doubt I'd hang on it in the long term.

iTunes in the U.S. already has it as well and I got all the remixes. I love the PSB Symphonic Mix too!
I'll also get the cd single if I see it anywhere. There are so few record stores left!

Physical CD single sales have very little affect on the chart. With the exception of 'Hero' whose digital sales account for only 45% of the midweek sale, the rest of the top ten is dominated by download sales. To get into the top 200 midweeks, you have to sell only have to see 386 copies of the single. STW/PSB are nowhere to be seen.

Digital % of sales in the midweeks:

HERO 45.8%
THE PROMISE 89.4%
SO WHAT 94.7%
INFINITY 2008 100.0%
SEX ON FIRE 97.1%
HOT N COLD 100.0%
UP 95.2%
LOVE LOCKDOWN 100.0%
WIRE TO WIRE 86.9%
SPOTLIGHT 100.0%

as the song goes into the verse part and she sings "I'm in love with a german film star"

In my head I keep hearing neil singing "are you feeling alright" from 'it must be obvious."
