Dave
"Somewhere" could indeed have been an awesome track. All they needed was a production more in the vein something like "Always On My Mind". Then all they needed was a tune sounding something like "It's A Sin". Then it would kick ass! Easy!
And of course, lyrics like 'Being Boring'. Oh well, I'm sure that's what the next PSB single will sound like :)

Take your time and give it a shot. You don't have to post your list within 10 minutes...
:D Hey, thanks for urging me to do it. I'll try then, but maybe in the weekend. Can't do it from monday to friday.

Also... it is not a question of listening, as the songs are all fresh in my mind. The problem (besides time) is that it is a difficult task because the songs are all good.

I mean: LIBERATION, MIRACLES, FLAMBOYANT, IT'S ALRIGHT, CAN YOU FORGIVE HER, I WOULDN'T NORMALLY DO are all exceptional songs. I really don't know which ones I like more.

But I'll try saturday when I am home.

Hey stats-freak, I can see it's really nice for you to know the results and hoping for more entries and changes to the statistics. But for the rest of us having given our entries weeks ago its either let us know the results soon or we we will forget about it. I am not the most frequent topic-reader, so I'll probably forget about this poll in a short time, then remember it a year later and frustratingly won't find it again. So as I guess the sence of such polls is to see a result (otherwise I would restrict myself from answering future ones) I would be glad if you could provide your statistics soon. And I am really looking forward to see them. No harm intended...

OK, I will post the results soon. I was still hoping for a few additional lists by people who didn't post a complete Top 38, and I was giving them some time to finish their lists.

I also posted a request on the German forum, aimed at some German users who posted their Top 38 over there. I would like to include those lists in this poll as well, but I feel I have to ask their permission for this (or shouldn't I?)

Anyway: results are due soon!

After processing 47 lists on this forum, I may now announce the RESULTS of the "Rank The Singles" survey...

*drum rolls*

And the winner is: Can You Forgive Her with 1342 points.

It was a very close race with the runner-up It's A Sin , which ended just 9 points behind the winner.

The worst single according to the participants is I Get Along

The full list

01 Can You Forgive Her (1342)
02 It's A Sin (1333)
03 West End Girls (1316)

04 Left To My Own Devices (1291)
05 Being Boring (1286)
06 Always On My Mind (1233)
07 Domino Dancing (1196)
08 Rent (1140)
09 Heart (1137)
10 So Hard (1114)

22 How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously (869)
23 It's Alright (868 )
24 Where The Streets Have No Name (I Can't Take My Eyes Off You) (835)
25 Liberation (828 )
26 A Red Letter Day (817)
27 Jealousy (806)
28 Se A Vida E (790)
29 Yesterday When I Was Mad (685)
30 Was It Worth It (655)

31 Before (642)
32 DJ Culture (623)
33 Single-Bilingual (611)
34 Home And Dry (562)
35 New York City Boy (487)
36 London (477)
37 Somewhere (452)
38 I Get Along (436)

(By the way: If I had included 4 additional lists by users from the German forum, West End Girls would have taken over the second place from It's A Sin. Can You Forgive Her would still have been the winner.)

Thanx for the effort!

Interesting, 'I Get Along' is the most
disliked one. Let's hate it, let's miss-
behave ... Image

Great work, stats-freak ! Interesting, if not exactly surprising result. Needless to say, I am thrilled that the two best PSB singles (and frankly the two best singles ever released) were number one and two, even if I would place them in reverse order.

Yeah, the top three is hardly a surprise...Can you forgive her? wins most of these polls. Interesting to see that the best post-Very single is Miracle at #12.

I don't understand why people dislike 'I get along' so much, but I Release is certainly the big loser with its singles going in at #34, #36 and #38 respectively, whereas Actually holds #2, #8, #9 and #13.

It would be interesting to get some statistics about what songs divide people most etc.

Additional stats will be published here soon. Miracles was on a much higher position for a long time. It spent time around position #5.

I'm surprised about the good position of So Hard and Domino Dancing. I'm surprised about the disappointing position of Go West and Se A Vida E. I'm surprised about Seriously beating Streets (Pet Shop Boys take note)
