I would say so. These are the first orders of the entire 1000. Besides, the more pre-ordered here the better idea What Records have of how many he'll need to get in. Given What Records were the first to hear about this (via phonecall from EMI after someone there saw the thread here late last week), I'd say he has a very good likelihood of landing the number he needs.

You can always e-mail What Records via their site if you need any further info. They can answer much more officially than me.

Sounds good to me. I wouldn't normally bother about a vinyl copy, but if there's only a 1000, it woud be rude not to!

Just ordered too - thanks for all the effort you've put in!

This makes me so very happy. It sounds daft, but I was genuinely quite upset that I wouldn't be able to hear Yes in a format I personally find much more enjoyable, and have always prioritised - it was quite a big deal, considering this is supposed to be the next big thing as far as the PSB are concerned, and considering that this is by far the only band I'm obsessive about in quite this way. All I can say is thanks. It's amazing news.

Does anyone know what are the international shipping rates?

This would be great except I dont us turntable anymore. I think my old one bit the dust.

It's worth buying anyway. Limited as EMI have said it will be, I think it's fair to say that demand will outstrip supply, so record player or not I'd be buying one.

I have to smile about how the album deposit has gone straight in at number one in What Records best sellers list!

Is there any indication as to how many pre-orders there have actually been?

As far as shifting the things goes, this type of marketing seems to be the way forward. Cf. numbering the Disco 4 vinyl, etc.
