they say a bands pension plan when they retire is essencially how vibrant their back catalog sells.
they shouldnt have any problems,they seem to have continued steady sales of all thier stuff.
what benefits alot of bands also is each time they come up with a new medium people tend to rebuy all the stuff.
which is why I have albums/casettes/CD's/digital downloads of certain bands.I rebought the stuff.

someone told me soundscan nielson is a accurate recorder of album sales,but you have to pay a subscription fee to gain access to the data.

I dont think they sold as much to affect their total album count ^^ Except Popart and Discography which sold over 6 million according to Galatas link
