You are probably right but I don't know if Highlights is the same as the footage of the tour. Highlights is a sort of collage of images, similar to Montage but not as good imo, and doesn't look like the footage shown in A Life in Pop to me.

A 'MUST' for every fan, really worth the
buy, not only for fans like us! I know of
a Depeche Mode fan who also likes the
Pet Shop Boys who really liked that DVD
and found it very interesting.
I like the background info, the comments
of colleagues, managers, producers, I like
how relaxed they are (esp. Chris laughing
a lot) and how open.
I find the last part a bit compressed since
'Bilingual' and 'Very'. They put a lot more
time in the beginning of their story until
'Very' (not that I didn't like it!).
I thought 'it's not much time left now, it
could easily take another two hours' or
so ...

I watched it last night and agree with most of the comments here already.
Great doco and thought post Bilingual and Very were a little brief.

Neil looked so nice though

It IS a shame about the lack of Bilingual stuff and I'd like to have had Johnny Marr interviewed about his contribution to (what 4 songs plus most of Release?)
It IS a great DVD, but also a missed opportunity..

If they have anything to be ashamed of, it's those nine first albums they made

I don´t know if this has been pointed out here yet (ok. I haven´t read previous posts....) but when Neil talks about Being Boring he looks like he might start to cry. Or is it just me ?

That would make sense, it's a song largely about his friendship with Christopher (not Lowe) whose funeral was decribed in "Your funny uncle".

I had viewed A Life in Pop recently. It was such a delight to watch and glad we got a full version.

Not sure how you guys in the UK felt about the shortened televised version.

Loved all the interviews. I too wished they got Johnny Marr. They call him a friend of the band. I'm thinking they might have but Johnny maybe he couldn't make any available to time for them. I mean they got West End Girls for a brief interview.

Speaking about interviews, it was great to see Geowayne on there. Especially since I've been visiting his site for a while and sent him a message about it. Which he replied back. A nice surprise to see him.

It was great to see all the Potemkin video. I had only seen pictures of the event. Seeing some footage from there really impressed me and it seemed like an amazing event.

I picked up the Made in Canada disc. It's missing Flamboyant, which I absolutely loved. Was hoping it'd be some kind of Easter Egg. Alas, nothing. Although it's great to have the other videos that showed up after the PopArt compilation. Especially Numb. Never thought I'd see that so soon on a disc.

Sorry for sounding like Tony the Tiger with all the "greats" in my post. It was an excellent documentary. One of the finest I've seen on any subject matter really.

However, was I the only one wishing that Bono would say something about the cover of that Neil and Chris did of U2 song? Watching the documentary with all these guests I kind of expected him to show up or even a mention on the reaction they got when they did it. I guess I was expecting too much after watching a New Order Story

Oh really, well at least they remembered to write melodies unlike on Boy Strange.

Boy Strange is them being Bowie.

Its a great track. It isnt melodic, and neither is it meant to be.
