Have to say that I can't see how you can say that from the snippet.........and all the reviews suggest otherwise.

I heard that "The 80s" will be the 3rd single.
Listening the snippet of "She's Madonna" I can't say whether it's good or bad, but I can understand why it won't be a single.

I understood that it would be a single - The 80s has too much foul language and sexual innuendo to be released probably!

There's a nice news story on
www.robbiewilliams.com basically plugging Concrete and A Life In Pop - won't do any harm I wouldn't have thought.

Just heard "She's Madonna" in full. Too bland. It almost sounds like one of those benefic songs featuring thousands of artists and with a terribly sweet melody.

While it's not a particularly great track, it's a zeitgeist-catcher if ever I heard one. This will be mega when released. Radio will lap it up and we'll all be forced into making it the Christmas number one after being beaten into submission by constant rotation. Naturally, we'll all be diminished as a consequence.

I for one am *loving* "She's Madonna" now that I've heard it in full. The melody is gorgeous and the production is so understated and nostalgic. This track is going to be HUGE.

Lyrically it's banal. The chords aren't too bad but the production is rather demo-ish. (Maybe I expected too much?) I have to say that I'd be very surprised if it were a single. As far as I'm aware nothing has been officially confirmed.
You could do much worse than Sparks'- 'Madonna' which was far more subtle and satirical, and was released about 20 years ago or something.

Anyone idly glancing through the five posts on this page would quickly decide the two that lack wit, grace and humour. And took the longest to compose... ???
