This sounds brilliant, I'd go.
I like to think of it as home...

I think that they want release A2 in US 'cos they launched only few singles in UK since Bilingual while in Europe we have had 3 or 4 singles for every album. So with a compilation they could make available all the often fabulous b-sides even to the US public.Drem wrote:I agree with One of the crowd about possible reason why it would be released in US only, but maybe they should release it at first in US with coincided release FL reissues in UK, then - release "Alternative 2" in Europe as limited edition?
Well, it may be another earnest reason, because Pet Shop Boys already have more than 140 minutes of b-sides, and they need to set aside some of them to fit 2CD limitation (or even 1CD, as you means - but they could release all of them as 2CD limited edition compilation in UK/Europe...).Danger wrote:I think that they want release A2 in US 'cos they launched only few singles in UK since Bilingual while in Europe we have had 3 or 4 singles for every album. For plagiarism - see "Union Street" album and tour, "On the Road to Nashville" (CD+DVD).Flaffer wrote:umm, on what basis exactly?Drem wrote:And be sued by Vince Clack & Andy Bell.
I dont think they said that the EMI contract said NO.. just that they dont NEED to. So they might just go ahead and release Alternative 2.One of the crowd wrote:Maybe their EMI contract says NO but their US one says YES.Twoism wrote:Alternative 2, US-only? Why?
Did the Re-issues come out in USA? A UK Alternative 2 would really be pointless due to the re-issues.
This can easily fit on two CDs, if they don't include the handful of live tracks that have been on singles:Drem wrote:Well, it may be another earnest reason, because Pet Shop Boys already have more than 140 minutes of b-sides, and they need to set aside some of them to fit 2CD limitation.
