Well, he's written a book on Bowie, if that helps to illuminate you a little. Neil and Chris have managed to escape unscathed.... well for the moment anyway. However, you can relax- I am fairly sure that he has no interest in exposing V&A in any way whatsoever.

Just recieved an interesting PM from a member of this board who doesn't wish to get involved in all this excitement. He has kindly quoted some comments by Pulse (Stephano) from the Erasure forum, regarding PSB. I can't view the forum myself but here is the info

Here, let me explain why I post predominantly on Erasure threads here:

I come on to lurk when there is something interesting about to happen, such as a new album. I'm not really interested in spending too much time posting here, and I actually have barely any time for any Erasure fora either (having posted something like seven messages in a few months time there). If you read my initial post here in months, it was very flattering to PSB and I said they deserved this Brit. Of course, you being a callous, negligent warmonger who loves the sound of his own voice more than life itself (much to the misfortune of most people here), you decided to make negative comments on Erasure... and the rest is history.

Anyway I don't think Andy Bell has authored a book. Picture books don't really sell much these days, you see. Bit like Erasure records.

I mean, I'm lost for words really. But after viewing this, not to mention PB helpfully posting the artwork for that Union Street album that missed the top 100 album chart, I just can't help chuckling at his post alluding that PSB were the "tacky" duo of the two. Tut. People in glass houses, eh?

As for "extremely irritating and grating" vocals of Neil, does he honestly believe that everyone who hears Bell-End's vocals likes them? One of the reasons my appreciation of Erasure, albeit somewhat limited to begin with, took a nose dive was because my partner kept complaining every time I played one of their songs, citing "that awful camp voice overdoing the histrionics" as one of the main things he singled out.

As I said, I usually lurk here, so I don't have an avatar up of myself... but I will if prompted.

I assume then that you are familiar with Loins' writing credentials? Or are you simply making the sarky comment due to the fact that he aggrivates you on here and therefore couldn't possibly have literary talent?

I'm still laughing my head off at your post on Erasure Towers that goes like this:

1) the only way PSB fans try to boast or make a point is by hanging chart stats and sales performance over the heads of (non-caring) Erasure fans.

2) Since PSB is a business partnership more than an artistic one, it seems highly appropriate. Then you can understand when I ask, "How many number one albums have both bands had?" The fact that Erasure have had five consecutive number one albums (PSB only one) speaks more to the value of their music in general than having more top 30 singles (of which Erasure have had 29 so far).

1) No, we cite sales, chart performance AND the highest music biz honours in their homeland. A place you clearly don't understand

2) Well I have news for you. And I'll quote someone who has worked with BOTH Pet Shop Boys and Erasure, step forward Mr Stephen Hague. He said in 1993 that "Neil Tennant are Chris are a genuine team, 50/50. Much more equal partners than Vince Clarke and Andy Bell, for instance."

Oh, and since you mentioned FIVE NO.1 ALBUMS!! - PSB's sales are way ahead of Erasure's, both in the UK and globally, so I'm afraid it matters not one bit! And clearly it's all been forgotten about by people such as the Brits too.

Becci, you should know that it's impossible to reason with a person that, because their beloved favourite bestest lovely pop duo of all time have been dissed on a forum that's essentially about another pop duo, then they then threaten to copy and paste the entire 21-page and counting thread and e-mail it to several record companies.

Is that the behaviour of a sane, well adjusted person?
