My thoughts exactly...great cover but I don't care much for the last part.
Why not? :) It starts great and the ending is good as well. Honestly, I was never obsessed with the original song even when it was on TV, radio - everywhere. But now regarding Robbie I understand that this song is brilliant! And in this case I don't care about show bussiness or whatever. I simply love it.
You lot probably already knwo this but isn't the "second half of the song with french words" actually bridging into a cover of ANOTHER lesser known song by the guy who did the original King of the Bongo?

As far as I know, the original Manu Chao's "King of the Bongo" already featured that bit in french as outro.

It's a straightforward faithful cover. The outro bit is a kind of anti-reply to Je t'aime, covered by PSB.

I always said Robbie had an underdeveloped chest, compared to the rest of his upper body!

That wig looks suspiciously like the one Madonna wore in a film, or was it a play? Bloodhounds Of Broadway I think?

I'm absolutely certain that this clip is a hint of the theme of the She's Madonna video. Rob's not the only guy who loves dressing in drag tho ;-)

The She's Madonna promo CD is now in circulation, so I'd say that pretty much confirms what I've always been told. It's the next single, actually....

3 tracks:
Single Edit
Album Version
Instrumental

credited to
Robbie Williams
With Pet Shop Boys

At least on my promo it says "Radio Edit" instead of "Single Edit". Not that it changes anything. The radio edit is 4.02 long and identical to the album version, except for the foreign language spoken bit on the outro which has been cut out.

The sleeve is bright pink with only the words "She's Madonna" in the same graffiti font as on the Rudebox single promo sleeve. The "Robbie Williams with Pet Shop Boys" text is on the back cover.

Shame they cut it out. I love it! Hopefully the video version still has it.

Could not agree more. Well said.

I haven't even listened to Minimal edit, don't really see the point. Loved the old 7" remixes (eg. Heart,) though. Guess the last one of those was 'Flamboyant'. 'I get along' could have done with one.

According to news reports, EMI has landed in crisis situation after heavily disappointing Christmas sales. Two board members were fired, a turnover warning was issued and a reorganisation was started.

The disappointing sales of the latest Robbie Williams album 'Rudebox' are mentioned as one of the main causes of the disappointing Christmas sales. Out of the ten best sold albums in the US in 2006, none came from EMI.
