It's listed both as a Pet Shop Boys track and a Robbie Williams track.

Another swing album??
If this isnt a joke- I guess it confirms that Robbie's fan base is quite conservative.

Has anyone heard these mixes in clubs? As far as I can tell they've hardly been 'tearing up dancefloors' like the press release would have us believe.

GalataPSB wrote:Robbie Williams is to release a new swing album by the end of the summer.

Executives at the singer's record label EMI are worried after his recent Rudebox album failed to live up to expectations and divided fans. They hope that the new album will turn around Robbie's fortunes and help him to win back his reputation.

A source told the Daily Star: "Rudebox has failed to match the sales of any of Robbie's previous albums and a lot of people are very worried. There's a swing album in the can and the top brass want it in the shops as soon as possible.

"Staff at the label have a lot of affection for Rudebox. But the public hasn't. Everyone's confident that another collection of swing songs will re-connect him to his fanbase."

It's more to do with the fact that it's written into Robbie's contract with EMI that he has to provide an album a year for them. I'm sure he can knock off a collection of swing covers in the amount of time it takes Neil and Chris to decide where to go for dinner.

The 3 track single on HMV must be a mistake! The price is 2 pounds, and no 3 track singles for 2. And that tracklist is so nonsense, it must be the promo's tracklist.

Actually, there has been 3 track CDs for £1.99 before.

To me, that "Kris Menace Vocal Re-Interpretation" sounds more PSB-ish than the album version. And it's far better, less bland. "She's Madonna" quite deceived me, but the remix is extremely good.

I must say, the Kris Menace mixes are very good... especially the dub coz it only uses Neil's vocals

More great news from the Netherlands. She's Madonna is alarmschijf on Dutch commercial radio station Radio 538. This means VERY HEAVY AIRPLAY on the most popular radio station for young people in the Netherlands !!

catcat wrote:Hello, all,

Another question about Robbie's song "We're the Pet Shop Boys".
Did Neil's voice is kept when singing the chorus "We're the Pet Shop Boys"?
Also, it seems that Chris's voice is also kept during the rapping part in this song:
"Rent, shopping, being boring.... "

Is it true? :)
Thanks!

Cheers,
Catcat
It seems that Robbie's version is an extended mix of the PSB B-side with new vocals, but some of Neil's bv's remain.
