That's 5 weeks before its due release date. I'll be in New York from Feb 7th. Shit.

So it means Radio 1 is not going to play the record (The Brits don't change anything).

Anyway, "I'm with stupid" was played before in other European radio stations (Spanish and German radios). So, there is no reason to think it's not going to happen again.

Radio 2 having the first play doesn't mean Radio 1 won't play it, but they're hardly a R1 target audience act. When was the last time they were playlisted on Teen FM?
It doesn't matter anyway, far more important is getting played on commercial stations.
I don't think winning the Outstanding Contribution award got Paul McCartney and Duran Duran back on R1 playlist.
Don't expect The Brits performance/ award to radically alter people's perceptions of the group. It may attract a few extra fans but they're still 2 middle-aged men playing the (youth-centric) pop game.
