Chris just said that they are bringing in a new track, but he may have duff information. I tend to trust Nightlife more.

But they are playing a greatest hits montage on R2 at the moment, and it sounds great!

It seems very odd that Chris Evans would have duff information and be allowed to repeat it.

It may be we are all wrong though as Nightlife says, and perhaps what he means is they're bringing in a sample of the Turing project for us to listen to. Either way, it'll be nice to hear them on the radio and hear about their forthcoming plans.

Ooh and just to make me even more excited, the "Thursday" splash page has been removed from the official site, which now goes directly to the front page.

Now its been confirmed that PSB are going on Chris Evans show tomorrow at least. Says so on their Facebook page.

On today's show they said. (Chris and one of the crew) that were playing PSB today as we wont get time on Fri, they then said oh we will have the new song to play, they then played the medley of 4 songs then its a sin intro

Oh FFS they're playing Thursday.

Chris Evans needs to look up the dictionary definition of "new". Thursday was new but stopped being current after a week or so. Its old news.

Reading the message again, I think we just got over-excited. You could still argue that Thursday is their "new" single, there is no clear time line that separates new from old.

Well I bet everyone's glad there's no super-expensive promos to buy.

Can't blame the Pet Shop Boys although I didn't see the point of their appearance. Chris Evans choice of words could have been a bit better. Maybe "recent" instead of "new" would have sorted the confusion, then we'd know it would be Thursday. With the current lifespan of a Pet Shop Boys single, "new" begins when its announced, and ends when it disappears from the charts (or doesn't appear at all) so its usually one or two week after its release.

Damn. I want non-album singles.
