What happens on a Saturday, sales-wise, that will benefit GA?

Anyway, even if you're not a GA fan, i think there should be a concerted push amongst the forum to keep TLK in the top 10. I will buy the single version and the remixes. I dont want them to fail to make the top 10 for the first time (their 20th single too) with a PSB written track. That would be horrible, though i agree with Paddy that falling short this week wouldn't necessarily mean it wont get there. Their airplay is on the increase as The Promise finally falls away.

Pesky GA, doing all the promotion before Xmas so they can spend January in the sun.

Irrespective of the chart position, TLK is considered one of the finest songs from the GA catalogue. If it fails to make it to the top10, then it's due to poor promotion or the fact that most people own it on on the album already anway.

Have you got the Wideboys Club Mix? That has been given to 'other digital outlets' to sell - not itunes

The kids are off school and they head down to Woolworths to buy the CD single.

Message from the Girls

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great '09!! We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has bought their copy of 'The Loving Kind'. It's such an important single for us. It's our twentieth single which is a real landmark for us! Most girl groups don't make it nearly this far, so we feel really proud. Plus the song was written especially for us by The Pet Shop Boys who we all love.

But this week's a really big week for singles and currently we're neck and neck with Kanye. Although we think he's ace, Nadine especially, we're determined to beat him in Sunday's chart! So if you've not bought yourself a copy yet, please head over to iTunes here or Amazon here and grab 'The Loving Kind.'

Loads of love,

Kimberley, Nicola, Cheryl, Sarah and Nadine. xxx

I only brought the CD single for the sake of Pet Shop Boys getting royalties.

Brilliant!

In all seriousness though, aside from the chorus (the lyrics of the chorus in particular) I think the song actually does sound more like Erasure than PSB.

I hope I haven't offended too many people there

No excuses will be able to change the fact that this is generally a crap song with a much crappier chorus.

Oh come on, Vince would kill for a chorus like that these days. But credit where it's due; everybody's buying The Saturdays' single because of Vince's mix rather than Frankie's pudenda.
