FROM THE OS:

Pet Shop Boys release a new album in 2007, with a difference.

For the first time ever, a comprehensive collection of their work with or for other artists is to be released on June 26 entitled Pet Shop Boys: Collaboration

Neil Tennant comments: "It was interesting to compile all these tracks for this album, which is something we've thought of doing for a good few years. With the mixes and duets we've done with Kylie, Madonna, Robbie, Bowie, Tina and of course, Dusty and Liza, it's like a Who's Who of icons in pop, and I didn't even use the word 'gay' even though there's one song that has it in the title!"

"We're proud to have worked with these artists, and Cicero too. There's even stuff we'd forgotten we were involved with, and also a couple of unreleased mixes for the fans, including an unreleased mix of the song Positive Role Model for our Closer To Heaven musical. In fact I'm still puzzled even now why this wasn't released as a single at the time. Looking at this tracklisting I think we're becoming quite good remixers and producers for others, actually."

Chris Lowe adds: "We were quite particular with regards to what was included, so although there were tracks that only one of us had worked on, such as Ian Wright or stuff on the Electronic singles, we felt it was more representative of the Pet Shop Boys to only feature songs we both worked on together, so goodbye to Berlin and Blockhead, oh, and that Noel Coward thing I wouldn't touch with a bargepole!"

The double CD set will be released through Parlophone/EMI and the track listing is as follows.

I think that Vince will remix this. Just like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode is opening up a restaurant called Bitter Apple.

I would love to buy this collection, but it doesnt sound realistic that all those songs could fit on 2cds so it must likely be an april fools joke.
