Wow....
- 'Alternative 2' a good possibility, albeit in the U.S only
- Chris' proposal for a tour, obscure bsides & album tracks only with a full orchestra and band.....at The Royal Albert Hall.....wow, checkout his tracklisting, he even wants to play 'Jack The Lad'....now this i will pay huge money to see
- A Singles box set - they're keen!
- Disco 5 is also certain!....quote: 'But we confidently expect there will be a Disco 5. Who knows what will be on it?'

Don't forget the sure release of Nightlife and Release FL. For Alternative 2: no problem to buy thanks Internet
Great news for all the fans. The Chri's tracklist is fantastic: King's Cross, Happiness Is An Option,To Speak Is A Sin, The Resurrectionist, Fugitive, The Theatre...
I'd go to Albert Hall even by feet for this event...

Alternative 2, US-only? Why?

But no talk about what the Boys are doing now, where they might be writing songs (they seem to have been in Berlin a bit recently?) and most importantly when they might see a new album coming out.
It's two years since Fundamental, I would have at least hoped for some indication as to what the next steps on the PSB journey might be.

Surely they deserve a bit of a rest. As Neil says "we've put out an album, a documentary DVD, a live album, a live DVD and Disco 4 - that's five pieces of product, in record company terms, in about 18 months" And there's been the small matter of a world tour.
However, when asked what he will do after the tour ends, Chris did comment, "After Christmas we'll start writing some more songs. Carry on on the treadmill"

who here wouldnt want the obscure live show thing?
realistically I think we know it most likely wont happen, as the regular fans simply want to hear the hits.
what they could do very easily would be simply to pick rare or obscure songs or let us pick somehow and just do a live in the studio type thing and make it avaliable via their site for the fans even they charged I would gladly buy it.

I'm definitely pleased Nightlife and Release will be getting the Further listening treatment, they coudl prove to be the most interesting F/L's. Fingers crossed they'll be this year - I suspect they will.

Maybe their EMI contract says NO but their US one says YES.
Did the Re-issues come out in USA? A UK Alternative 2 would really be pointless due to the re-issues.

It's the most stupid thing I've heard in many years. I suppose they'll record it and then they'll sell the dvd and the cd. It's the kind of things old bands do in their careers when they don't have anything better and new for their fans.
What about the same thing but with new songs?.
- A Singles box set - they're keen!
So, they try to sell again and again the same thing to their hardcore fans. I really believe they are in a mistake.

to do a B-side *tour* probabably wouldnt be the smartest of decisions, but come on,its almost unheard of a band doing something as innovative as a B-side obscure song show.
think of how many bands out there with a long line of hits who are pressured essencially by the regular fans into playing simply the same line of hits over and over and over everyshow.
is it any wonder why the PSB alot of times redo's songs live and make them different? its because they get as bored with it as we hardcore fans do.
if they simply did a one off live studio thing it would be pretty inovative. think if we could hear "hey headmaster" or"it always comes as a surprise" live and as good quality as montage music was.
I think it would be great if they did it, just not the tour though. they would take a hit in the wallet.

I think everyone is worrying too much. These are just things the boys are thinking about aloud. Remember if it wasn't for Chris Heath (thanks Chris!) following them around with a notebook, we wouldn't hear about any of this stuff.
However, if they were to do a 3 hour concert at the Royal Albert Hall with a full orchestra and play loads of 'B' sides, there is literally nothing that would stop me from going. The same could be said for many of us, but alas, as we all know, it's probably not something Joe Public would go for. I still cringe when I think about the Potemkin show in Newcastle hearing oafs behind me complaining that 'they haven't played Go West yet!'

As to 'nicknames' spiel about wanting a new album, well they don't spring out of thin air - they take time and there will be one. There's nothing wrong with other releases, if you don' t like PSB what are you doing on here?

Yes, but also it will be a bit like what Erasure did in 2006.

Agreed, where did this t**t come from?
Could anybody tell me where the part about the singles boxset was written, was it in the questions section and who asked the question? (possibly me)
I won't have my literally till april which is why I ask!
