PARTY AT TODS PLACE

FASHION and film will fuse for a night of Champagne and art at the Tod's Art Plus Film Party 2008 in a former church in Marylebone on March 6. Hosted by Tod's CEO Diego Della Valle and The Whitechapel's Art Plus Film Party Chairs Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and Jade Jagger, the party will raise money for the Whitechapel's Expansion and Education programme. Guests (who received an invitation designed by Henry Holland) will be treated to music from celebrity DJs that include Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant, as well as the premiere of artist Christian Marclay's dramatic new film. Guests will also have the opportunity to buy especially commissioned artworks by leading artists David Batchelor, Jonathan Monk, Simon Periton, Conrad Shawcross, Jamie Shovlin, Daniel Sinsel and Rebecca Warren in an interactive silent auction. It's probably just me, but that would be quite a sight. I just can't imagine Neil Tennant on the decks.
