I have waited a long time for such a leader.
This reminds me very much of the hope and optimism around President Kennedy.

I guess it took a few millions of swing voters who saw in Obama the opportunity to mooch from other hard-working people and hence voted for Obama(who along with the Democrats and ACORN caused the financial meltdown!), the messiah of the atheists such as you. Is that why he emulates FDR's New Deal that prolonged and deteriorated the Great Depression( don't expect to read that in socialist history book in achool)? the upside is he might actually do some really good stuff for america.and good stuff that will help us get along better with europe.

the bad is,dealing with the usual russian,hamas,Nkorea or Iran or fundamental types he will have no sway whatsoever.

the general feeling is Obama will not be continuing the Bush doctrine of hell fire from the air. his doctine concerning the muslim world supposedly will be along the lines of "hope it works out allright for you people". so depending on if anyone believes islamic militants will throw out their doctines and become moderates because of Obama, only history will tell.but I wish him luck though.I like him.

Here is a guy who hasn't always been Obama's biggest fan but is big enough and adult enough to say, "I wish him luck, though. I like him."
