Not sure if I've missed this news elsewhere, but the boys will guests on the Chris Evans show on R2 this Friday "not playing live, but hand delivering their new single." Any guesses what it is...seems a bit out of the blue!

They say that they will deliver it on Friday but Chris Evans will probably get an email Friday morning saying it has been delayed due to production problems and that it'll be delivered on January 23rd before being put back again until early spring.

Ooh, how exciting. I reckon it'll be something brand new, along the lines of a Go West. i.e. something massively pop.

My wages are going on Flourescent. With an each way bet on something from the Alan Turing project.
I still think every song on Electric is going to get an individual release.

Neil said in a Radio 2 interview with Graham Norton when Thursday was being promoted that there will be no more Electric singles. I doubt they changed their mind. If they did, I reckon its Fluorescent because Christmas light bulbs.

This is exciting. Where has this info come from? It sounds like what happened when they released 'All over the world', although they didn't personally deliver that.
Would they personally deliver a single if it was something from Electric? I imagine it'll be either a new track or something that has been completely reworked. It makes sense for them to release something to coincide with the Hogmanay appearance.
Either way this is exciting news if true!

Surely this will just be Thursday?
R2 has a different timescale for the use of words like 'new'....

Perhaps an EDM Dubstep with a middle eight rap version of IDOSAC
I bloody hope not!

'Thursday' has already been in and out of Radio 2's playlist and the CD has been out for weeks so that would make no sense...
I think it's a new song.

Fluorescent, in a classy black casing with those slanted orange stripes. Contains a single edit, an extended version (like, 10+ minutes long), the unused version that has all the vocals that were removed, and perhaps 1 or 2 B-sides and some remixes. And of course a video to the single edit, using the concept we saw in the teaser as the base.
It sure ain't going to happen but I can dream!
