Neil features on Diamond Versions brand new single ‘Were You There?’ which is taken from their forthcoming debut album CI due for release on June 2nd.
Even better, you can also listen to ‘Were You There?’ featuring Neil Tennant right here:

a timely release for Easter ... sounds interesting enough on my Macbook .. but imagine this one needs to be blasted pretty loud on a decent hi fi setup to appreciate truly.

Very awesome indeed. I wish PSB themselves would experiment this far out more often (I LOVE The Former Enfant Terrible, for instance), 'cause this is absolutely brilliant to my ears.
Also the best vocal by Neil since The way through the woods, which was in turn the best vocal since pre-fundamental. Their vocal recording has been very lazy the last ten YEARS, but this proves he can still sound fantastic.

Happy!

Christian techno? No thanks. Anyway, it's reminiscent of Tranquilizer ...but not as good.

Reminds of the JAMMS using Jerusalem in Grim Up North.

Only Moby can pull off the spiritual stuff, it seems.

Nice to see Neil working with some of the people he's obviously met in Berlin. Alva Noto (one of the two guys in Diamond Version, and by coincidence an architect student) has a great pedigree, especially his work with Ryuichi Sakamoto. I really like this.

I like it.

Could do with a version that tones down the industrial bits, but I like it.
