I'm still taking the Germans to sneak a win although they miss Klose.

Canada should call up s t e p h a n o; I'm sure I read somewhere that he scored a thousand goals in a season once.

Germany will be excellent in a few years when they bring the likes of Toni Kroos through and the current youngsters mature, but I can see them going out tonight.

They lack street-smarts, something they always had. Old German sides always had guile, deviousness, and cunning. These lads don't. They're honest but a little green and other than Schweinsteiger lack a Breitner-like leader.

This game could end 0-0 but the Serbs could sneak a late winner and the hand-wringing will begin. Podolski has been shocking - confidence gone. Without Klose, Germany have nothing up front. Oh for the days of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

I don't see England in final, if they will be playing like this... really. How can they win Argentina or Spain with this football?
Parkol wrote: Very boring... Slovenia -England... No moments, no passion... It seems to me Slovenia doesn't want to win and England doesn't want to make more goals. They should understand that they can't play in play off like this. No one will forgive them.
LMAO

Dunno where to start on two of the most comical comment's i've ever read on here. England showed no passion? Sorry but they showed plenty today. They also played very well. The only thing missing were more goals. It should have been 5 or 6. You are right on one thing though - England won't win it. They aren't good enough.

I thought Slovenia were probably the worst side i've seen at the competition. They only beat Algeria because of a poor mistake and they were playing 10 men.

Question for you, Parkol or anyone else than can answer ;- Slovenia are terrible but can anyone tell me how they qualified? Who did they beat to get there? :shifty:
Even commentator said that England has to play better if they want to win this championship and he doubt about England played for 100%.

Look how Spain played, Argentina... Spain is very strong.
England has few very good players, but they don't play as they should.
Slovenia is not very strong, of course, but others are very cool.

Spain, Argentina and Brasilia play excellent for me, maybe Portugal.

Germany, France (they go home), England and Italy play not good as they should.
Of course I wish European team will win, but i doubt.

I watched that match and I saw no speed in Slovenia vs England.
USA go further and France go home?
When US football was better then French?
What happens in this world?

We (Europe) love football much more and I think that Italy, Spain, UK, France and etc HAD to play better than USA, Canada and New Zealand.

I wish European teams (all teams incl England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Serbia and etc) show better football. I hope Europe team will win this championship.

America are my dark horses actually. I did fancy the Ivory Coast until Eriksson the muppet was appointed, but now America are through as group winners they've got a real chance of making the semi-finals.

Good strike and about time they started shooting. Kingston in goal is dreadful.

Wonder what price Germany v England going to penalties will be. It's nailed on.

The tabloids will be unbearably jingoistic again on Sunday if England play Germany. They treat every game as if it were the World Cup final these days!

Does anyone here enjoy indoor soccer more than outdoor?
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]

So France are out and Italy too. Spain are by no means guaranteed to beat Chile, either. Perhaps England aren't that bad after all!

Brilliant last half an hour in the Slovakia-Italy game, and Webb shockingly didn't make a total arse of himself!
