Erm I think you'll find Undertaker that you are a stereotypical bullshiter, I can accept criticism, that's not the problem, it's not criticism you lot are dishing out here it's just a load of absolute bollocks, sorry to have to break it to you but that's the way it is! Look at your comedy essay about how Erasure are all Bleep and click music or whatever it was a few pages ago, I didn't bother responding to that because it was either you on class A drugs or an obvious piss take. Total and Utter dross. Nothing to do with criticism and you know it.Undertaker wrote:Wow. Only you could post something as insane as this.jsdouvres wrote:
I thought you lot were calling this a desperate and sad thing? Now apparently it's great promotion. Weird. I suppose you have to guard against the small possibility that the new Erasure single might get into the top 40. So I understand. Predictable.
But don't worry, the album won't do very well, so you can all be happy and have fun slagging them off again, oh so predictable again I suppose
1. I think it's desperate that singers have to do reality television like this. Andy is doing reality t.v with Cheryl Baker ffs. However, it is still excellent promotion. It's prime time t.v on a Sunday night. I's 6 million viewers.
2. I do think the next Erasure single will go top 40. The euphoria of the first new song for 4 years off a new album will get them a decent hit imo. What's your point exactly? I think it will be great if they achieve it. If they don't, i'm sure we will all still sleep soundly. Although their last single release last Christmas ;- A Little Respect (hedux mix) didn't get anywhere near the top 200. So they need to get the strategy right. Which was my original point. They have a perfect opportunity right now.
3. I also think the album will do ok. We are hearing the right vibes. A lot of time has gone into it and it has a fresh, modern producer. Why wouldn't it do well? Again, what point are you trying to make? Or are you simply looking for another argument? Get a grip. It's becoming embarrassing.
I wonder what random rant is going to come next?![]()
You are also a stereotypical Erasure fan. Won't accept any criticism and completely lose it if anyone posts anything negative. You would make a good Harry Enfield character. Mister Stereotypical.

For you, it is.JSDOUVRES wrote:that's not the problem,
It wasn't actually a criticism. Even if it were, i don't understand the above tantrum because afterall you just said ''I can accept criticism''JSDOUVRES wrote: it's not criticism you lot are dishing out here it's just a load of absolute bollocks

I never said it didJSDOUVRES wrote: And you are back onto one again about how the amazingly new Erasure christmas single download only didn't get into the top 200, That has absolutely nothing to do with a new song from a new album
You just said an old song re-released is nothing to do with a brand new song off a brand new album. It's bad enough remembering what you are trying to argue about but it's even worse when you are forgetting what you wrote a few lines ago. Again ;- Epic Fail.JSDOUVRES wrote: And what about Personal Jesus? What does that tell you about these type of singles today? It tells me that Erasure will struggle to get top 100 let alone top 40 even with a physical cd single release
Do you? So why does every rant defend Erasure's struggle to get into the top 200 over the past few years? If you weren't bothered, ignore itJSDOUVRES wrote: but that's OK because unlike you I judge the music on how good I think it is, not on today's modern music buyers.
Will it be produced by Raymond Baxter or Michael Rodd?Undertaker wrote:The new album will be called 'Tomorrow's World.'
Maybe they could copy PSB but with a giant cross instead of tick? That would probably be more relevant to you and a few others in this thread I'd say.Undertaker wrote:They should have Phillipa on the cover. Everyone knows that.
I hope the cover isn't another bodge job. A load of different colours taken from Windows Paint, or a load of stupid swans.

I thought his performance was pretty good on the tv show and fair play to him, he has a good voice.
Good to see the live shows are going pretty well too, and they may well not be playing to millions but they still have a decent fanbase and the gigs look quite well attended. That's good. Looking forward to the new album and I think having Frankmusic produce it was a fantastic idea. It won't be a major hit of course but should do well enough for them continue for a few years hopefully. I just hope it's a good record and not too overproduced like I feel the last few PSB albums have been at times, (Sorry undertaker and Patrick, I know that will offend you).
