Re: Obscure Pet Shop Boys - New Live shows
Hats off to those already queuing for tonight's show at 08.00 this morning as I walked past
Re: Obscure Pet Shop Boys - New Live shows
Hi, I would say not worth queuing for a long time. We ate and drank in a pub (Buck's Head) watching the queue. The queue became longish, went around the corner from Camden High Street and all the way to the end of Buck Street, slightly into Kentish Town Road. We didn't panic.drunk14 wrote: Tue 07 Apr 2026, 5:47 am I don’t want to peek into the spoiler thread, so I guess this is the best place to ask.
Could you share your thoughts on queueing? Was it actually worth standing there for a few hours or pointless in the end? Maybe some of you skipped it and just showed up right before doors (around 6 or even 7 pm)? Were you able to get a good spot?
I’ve never been to Electric Ballroom before, let alone London, so I have no idea how to plan my time. I should be free around 2:30 pm in Camden right after hotel check-in.
It started to move at 6:15 and we joined just after at 6:30. Queue moved quickly and didn't take long for us to get in.
More importantly once we were in we got a good position about 20 rows from front, may be less with really good view of stage. The auditorium wasn't packed at that point. It filled out completely behind us, later. Floor is completely flat, no incline to rear. There is a balcony you can watch from above, but where non-VIPs could go it was further away than our position and I thought not as good.
So I'd say join the queue after it has started moving and you'll get a good place unless you want front row.
Enjoy! It was fabulous!

I don’t know why people queued so early. You get in at 6pm yes but the minute you move to go to the toilet or bar the crowds surge forward people walk straight into your spot. You come back and then are doubly squeezed and uncomfortable
There was a quite vicious nasty couple of women on the steps to the bar who pretty much growled at everyone who walked into the main room as if they owned the entrance. Even if you left to go to the toilet and came back they pretty much shouted at you.
My point is you can arrive at 7pm and comfortably get a good spot
Even at the very back is not a bad spot.
The sides at the front left and right are great as you can lean against and have nobody behind you
The upper balcony is small and arguably not the best as you are the furthest away from the stage - plus the queue to get up there was ridiculous as it only holds about 70 people so it was one in one out.

The Guardian review gives it 5 out of 5 stars. Beware! There are spoilers, so I won't post it here

How's the queuing situation today? Did people start lining up as early as yesterday?

Queueing really isn't worth it. I managed to get a great view without that.
Re: Obscure Pet Shop Boys - New Live shows
My daughter and I joined a line up round the block at around 6.15/6.30. Managed to buy merchandising, grab a drink and stand just behind the mix which was a decent view. Was already packed though. My wife showed up later - just before the Boys came on - breeze in, straight upstairs to the popup merchandising stand (all signed stuff was sold out by then) and propped herself on a bench by the photo booth near the ground floor merchandising stand. She could hear everything ok, and they had a few screens to watch the show. Not my cup of tea, but she was happy as Larry there just listening to it all.drunk14 wrote: Tue 07 Apr 2026, 5:47 am I don’t want to peek into the spoiler thread, so I guess this is the best place to ask.

I was there 11/2 hour ago. There were only a few people, maybe 10-15....Artistica wrote: Tue 07 Apr 2026, 3:18 pm How's the queuing situation today? Did people start lining up as early as yesterday?

Who provides numbera? It must be some fan-arranged action. The question is if someone recognise this method later when you want to be back
Number 101 must be confused...
