Exactly. And, as he states, Geowayne links to his own site regularly.

Internet politics worry me. They seem to be about gang mentality, while at the same time being totally trivial and pointless.

Eldritch seems like a decent guy who has linked to an excellent, insightful article about a band I'm into. He didn't have to, and who cares if there may be secondary (but not primary) motives?

Kudos.

Karma for both! No, wait... Darn. Wrong forum.

I liked the interview and he asked great questions,it wasnt a big hassle to go over there and read,I do it all the time.

its just that my immediate human reaction when I saw the requirement was that he was being a bit of a weenie.

You and me both. The interview is superb! :)

But I still think it's kind of like going into Pizza Hut with fliers for McDonald's.

Or being in one nightclub that's handing out tickets for another.

Or opening your Tampax box to recieve a promotional offer for Libra.. well, you get my drift.

Eldrich I wish you would - out of the goodness of your heart - reconsider making your interview available for this forum's viewers, because it is a worthwhile read and personally I don't think it should be conditional. I can think of no logical reason why you would require people to have to register elsewhere in order to see your interview. And yes I know it's yours and you can stick it anywhere you like..

Brings to mind an incident with my children who were playing with a friend - only one pair of roller blades between the three of them. My daughter told her friend she was able to have a skate but if her sister wanted to skate she would have to pay. I quickly pointed out how unfair this was, to which my daughter retorted "but they are MY skates so I should have the right so say who gets to go on them!". In the end my other daughter was so thoroughly pist off that she told her sister where she could stick her goddam skates. All very babyish!

Hmmm.. and just another point.. As one journalist to another I understand the whole breach of copyright thing. When Zeus told you on the other forum that he was going to cut and paste your interview to put somewhere else your response was "that's fine by me". I didn't see him ask permission, which generally is a pre-requisite when copying copy-written material. I know he's a friend of yours, but do you not think he should have first gained your consent before telling you he was going to copy your material? (Especially given all the kerfuffle that's gone on here over same.)

Just a little baffled by that!

But it *is* a fantastic interview and I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to have read it (already being a member of that forum as well as here). Making it freely available to members here would be a nice kind thing to do. :D And that's all I have to say on the subject.

Eldrich  Think about it.

Thank you Racie for your kind comments. As well as Monty--, tweety, ArseSpanker and glennjridge too. I do admit that there was a cheekiness factor in not posting the interview here – I also wanted people to know of Zeus's site, because there's lots of interesting stuff and peope there.

As for Zeus cut-and-pasting the interview, he only moved it to the Fundamental sub-forum inside his own forum and made it more readable by separating and highlighting the questions and so on, so a permission for that was hardly needed.

So okay, I will post the interview here. But on one condition. First I want a proper personal apology from Deschanel in this very thread. I don't mind people criticizing me or even saying nasty things, that's all part of this internet discussion lark. But there are limits and – especially as myself I haven't insulted anyone in this thread – calling me "a street-walking whore", "drug-dealer", "pornographer" and saying that I "lack any moral sense" and peppering his prose with borderline racist comments about "Finnish donkey shows" (not only off-colour but off the mark too, because there even aren't many donkeys here, for Christ's sake) clearly crosses the line of civilized internet discussion. And after such bile-spouting he accuses Zeus of being a negative person.

You know, its the people that are bitching about not posting the interview over here that remind me why I:

(a) never check the official site;
(b) stopped my subscription to the fanclub

Why?

Because EVERYTHING is copied and put on here. It is LAZY. If people are really interested, they should be able to click onto something else, go to a different site. Its an amazing concept, isn't it? I've got to wonder if the people moaning about it not being posted over here ONLY frequent this website. I'm guessing they don't. What next? Do we a need a freaking news ticker on this forum with all the latest and greatest news from around the world?

Does registering to another forum cost anything? Not this one, no...Or did I miss some internet rule that requires people to ONLY be a member of ONE forum? If so, I'm in big trouble.

Besides, what is stopping one of the people that prefer this place to go over there, registering, and copying the freaking interview themselves? What is stopping them? Is it because they don't really give a rat's ass?

I don't seem to remember anyone pissing and moaning and having so hard of a time when we had Hostboard and all going at the same time, and, amazingly, the same stuff WAS NOT posted on both sites. Incredibly, PEOPLE f*** SURVIVED.

Say what you will about Zeus, but to go about criticizing Eldritch is way off mark. At least he's sharing it with the community at large, even if you have to (GASP) go to another stupid forum.

Quite simply it is time consuming to register simply for the purpose of reading one item. Many people have already made up their minds that they want to remain here, or only have time in their lives to frequent one forum. Laziness? Perhaps. Or perhaps just busy people who might have just liked a quick read of the interview because they are fans of the PSB.

I don't really see any need for people to get shitey, you included. Have a great day everyone! :)

Demanding an apology from me?

Choking with laughter, go stuff it, you shan't ever get it.

How tacky to come here to adverstise Zeus's site.

No apologies, throw your lot in with someone who's demonstrably immoral, who's ripped people off, who's never had a kind word to say about anyone but himself.

I don't care what you do with your interview. At this point I'm not even sure I care about PSB. They do seem to take some pleasure in masochistic suicide, in that the likes of you are here dangling an interview.

Please! We're meant to jump when you say so? And go to rotten Greek's site if we are to be priveleged to read it?

Laughing heartily here. At your presumption. At this point I don't even care abgout PSB, I'll hear the record on its own merits.

But you, Eldritch, behaving as if we're all rabid junkies for scraps of info- so sorry.

Bravo on a good interview, if it's true. Well done.

It's just so SHADY of you to come here to solicit visitors to lame-ass Zeus's site.

You'll get an apology when monkeys fly out of my butt. I so don't care.

 You can't mean that Des!! Please take it back. :(

Love you Baby.

Just please forget all this crap - spit out the negative and embrace the positive!

Just to completely go off-topic some of you may be sadistically pleased to know that I broke down on a MAIN road during peak hour traffic today wearing only my Pyjama's. Actually they weren't even my pajama's they were my 11 yo daughters shortie PJ's, with something cute (like 'Hot Babe' or something) written on the bum. OMG.. and I had on only a pair of wedge heels (which is all I could find on the way out the door, being madly late for the school drop-off!) There was no shortage of offers to help.. but some people were cruel and shameless with their laughter from passing cars. It was horrid!!!

It's not called Zeus's site it's called Pet Shop Boys Forum  . Eldritch is a really good bloke who thought people might like to read a new interview. Shame some people are so bitter and twisted that they have to look into it as something it isn't. Also, some of you have been referring to the people on the "Zeus Forum" as being negative to psb and having to slag off everything they release but after reading the responses on here to I'm with stupid and Luna Park I feel there are a lot more positive comments on these tracks at the "Zeus Forum". I understand some of you don't like Zeus but we aren't all simply sheep over there, we love psb as much as anyone.

I liked Eldritch`s interview! Thank you.

My opinion :

When i met internet first, I was a student..And everyday I used to visit elusivepsb web page.It was a great web-page. I saw many photos there...They were new for me.I listent many new psb-tracks.I read news about PSB.Then i saw other web pages about psb.I learnt many things. But one day, When i visited elusivepsb, I couldn`t see it! Because it was closed. Then others were closed.I was very sad. Then i saw this forum in aimoo, and now I am here.(Thank you Steve and Dave for this forum.) .All i want to say is : all forums are about psb. There is n o zeus`s forum. There is "pet shop boys forum".We are not talking about Zeus there..We are talking about Psb.

I`d like to believe There is no rivalry between forums....All forums are kind of richness for psb...As i am a psb-fan I thank you zeus. Because Psb-fans have an another platform to talk about music and psb!! And other forums..Lydia`s PSB forum, Pascal`s forum, Markie`s forum,Russian forum, chile forum,German forum...All of these forums show the richness of PSB.

I believe that we are privilege people.Becasue Neil and Chris are very special people. And different types people are here/there for neil and chris. And I`m sure, When Neil/chris saw these forums they become very happy.

Thnx eldritch!!

Mike Fiorenza's elusive was awesome! if memory serves me correct he was from florida.he was a great guy also, when nightlife came out he said I could call him to hear some of it and talk about it.I miss his track by trackCD reviews.

yeah as far as the forums I agree.but this is a special case.
theres always some tension between the 2 forums but thats only because this forum had a split.I dont see all that much fighting about other forums.despite we generally are a good community.if one gets something the other usually gets it because there is a genuine need to share.
