If you allow people the easy freedom to live in whatever country you choose without vetting to see if they are prepared to work; bring something to that country in terms of skills, jobs etc you will get unstability. We're just as bad going to live in Spain and not learning Spanish; just raping the economy there.

Some people coming to the UK from a poor background are more willing to work longer hours for less pay; meaning the birth citizen of that country must also be prepared to do the same thing (because of unnecessary greed). This can lead then to a twenty-four hour society, marriage breakups (you never see each other; survival and stress), kids not being brought up as a family unit, but by either parent, maybe even just one.

As a country rapidly changes in population, there isn't physically enough work to go round; you affect culture because nationality becomes diluted as different cultures, religions, opinions etc merge; language becomes more universal as 'some people' will bother to learn English whilst others probably won't and just see what they can claim.

Those that do claim need to be funded, so not just the average Britain but someone from elsewhere. The average Britain might even be working if Gordon Brown wasn't promoting the Internet as the way forward; ie a Virtual Shop. Those not working and unable to get money may resort to crime/violence/conning to survive.

The reason people come here is because where they come from they are paid rubbish wages and if you come to us, earn x and send it home its worth more. So part of the problem is greed of some political parties/companies and the fact that economies need to match. We even had it at one point where companies were paying backhanders to change laws so it suited them. You also get pimps promising a better life and people paying their lifesavings in the belief it will be their Utopia if smuggled in.

Once we have it where all the countries not just Britain have lost their identity (the Euro purpose is in part to do that) then it is easier to form a one world army, one world bank (with chipped population) and one world dictatorship as everywhere now is more-or-less the same.

Further more as the depression grows you'll need a solution, which people will accept even if it means sacrificing their freedom. Engineer a flu plague and everyone will panic and take the vaccine which could be the 'mixing tube' for the next pandemic (using people as the mixer to increase probability): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcniJxck0gI & http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/u ... 543347.ece

Nature always finds solutions and that may mean we do it to ourselves.

That's my opinion on it.

Except for those of us that do, of course.
because allowing money to continually hemorrage is a long term disaster
Some things simply cost. It's not like defense is a profit generator for the government and yet it consumes more of your taxes than anything else. People like you rarely seem to have a problem with that, so it's hypocritical to pretend this is a discussion about money.

Only yesterday i got a fire prevention book through the letterbox and half of it was in Polish.
Who do you think you are, Captain Britain? Seriously you should at least make the effort to learn Polish in this new age instead of wondering into Polish supermarkets.

I think if you're living here you should make an effort to speak English but at the same time I think we should also make more of an effort when we're abroad as well, even when we're on holiday. Imagine if no-one should serve us abroad. It must be such a bore for the locals when us Brits lumber into a shop and look ridiculous trying to point at things and raise our voices.

I wouldn't mind so much but most Brits can't even speak English.

I take note of the biblical story of the tower of babel.

while everyone in their respective country is proud of their language and would never want to give it up, myself included, when you look at the big picture, the peoples of the world having different languages instead of being some kind of cultural wonder to be happy about is very dividing and evidence of a flaw for humanity.

realistically the only issue I have is when I have to call tech suppoprt. they just cant speak english well, and also stores and banks now have mulitple language signs.it just looks retarded.

Most countries have at least two languages and then there is an 'official language'. Spain being one example, France another, India, China and Indonesia yet more. The idea of distinct nation states with clearly defined borders began with england in the the 12th century there is nothing 'inherent' in the the idea of nation or nationality, they are socially constructed categories. Are the Cajuns in your own country American or are they pseudo 'French'?

Won't Spanish be the official national language of America eventually? You'd better pick up that phrase book.
