April, eh? Also when Literally will come out. And usually something else to promote. Perhaps an "Obscure Pet Shop Boys" release of some kind? Perhaps?
all their b-sides are already compiled...
even the most recent ones aren't hard to find on cds
or deluxe editions..
there might be some extra ones out there..
but couldn't see them releasing yet another compilation.
----
this should be a one off tour..
(i won't be able to make it, but it would be cool)
there's no demand for it becoming a world tour,
which defeats the purpose.
but they should add some of these songs to the regular tour.

Im terrified I won't get a ticket. With a capacity of 1500 it means there are only going to be about 7500 tickets for us to fight over.
Although probably more like 7000 being as they will keep some for guest lists, competition winners and other freebies.
Apparently Nonetheless the album sold 22000 copies in the UK in the first week. I would say Obscure targets the same people, so the demand will be hughe indeed.

They probably already have the mixes ready for the live show which means they could be added onto a bonus cd with Annually.

Personally, I think they should have made some of these available to the hardcore fanbase who buy Annually every year. It's going to sell out anyway, so why not make some effort to do that? We all know loads of genuine fans will miss out on tickets and end up having to pay over the odds from scalpers.

Those 22000 units consisted of 47 different vinyl variants so itβs only actually the remaining 87 fans in the country

BTW: I think they can play anything that's not on Smash (ie for me that would qualify as a deep cut). Personal favourites that they rarely (or never) play

A third B-sides collection 2009-2026 called Obscure would be nice and not unexpected, given their continuity regarding the Disco and FL series
I do not hope for a very limited and too expensive annually CD

There's too much songs they have already played live here.
They have to play more unheard songs.

I wouldn't put my hopes too high. The press release states "many not perfomed live before", thus there will be plenty performed live already, too.
We all feel better in the dark will definitely be in the setlist, even if they played it on Performance. I can see it opening the Obscure shows, actually.

You win the internet today!
It's a fair point though that many of those copies would have been duplicates for the completists among us, so that number is likely quite a bit lower.
**EDIT**
I asked ChatGPT for some answers and here's what I got - grains of salt thoroughly taken...
Here is the known sales data for the first week in the UK, broken down by format, which gives an idea of the relative numbers:
CDs: 10,815 units
Vinyl: 7,761 units
Cassettes: 527 units
Blu-ray discs: 1,218 units
Total first-week sales (all formats, including downloads/streaming equivalents): 22,419 units
Make of it what you will.

Yeah the Zoetrope was limited to 4000 and sold out in about 48 hours, so that's most of them right there.
Did I mention the grain of salt?

Strange that there hasnβt been an official email announcement from PSB. Maybe an email is coming with a special link or code.
Also, for what it is worth, ChatGPT says tickets go on sale Friday

Offtopic: Even though there is a vinyl hype going on, CDs still outsell vinyl records overall, although the gap is becoming smaller every year.
But let's wait for tomorrow's on the availability of Obscure tickets.

LLMs always come up with an answer based on probability, and a Friday sale is most likely of course
