Dave
Its not a question of IF it was released to promote PopArt.
It WAS released to promote PopArt.

Why is it you think you take exception to petty insults, when you're the one in this thread who calls people dim and ridiculous, hopelessly deluded, what the hell are you on about etc and in the above thread, apparently we're all f***.

You're welcome to prove me wrong, though you've done a remarkably poor job of it so far.

Did I say they should do that, at any point? No.
Stop being a such a drama queen. There is nothing wrong with them being a (still highly profitable) fan-based act.

I've proved you wrong where it concerns apalling spelling, pompously presenting personal opinion as fact ("NO INTENTION!!!!!

) and complaining when people use the kind of petty insults that you yourself have used in the last couple of days, f***. Now what part of that don't you understand, f***?
As for the now interminable debate regarding a third single, I prefer to wait till later in the year to find out what PSB will do, and I'll hear it from official sources, not some over-inflated Hackney under-carriage

....so then, IF there is a single #3 would they have played at the recent concert?
Also, why couldn't a group like PSB release a single, maybe an EP, with two or three tracks and a bunch of remixes, charge more a little more, not produce a video, and intended it for fan consumption only?
I mean really, what is the point of spending all that money on a video which will get played just a handful of times??
And if they're a fan-based act (which I agree they are) why do they care about chart rules in the first place? What difference does it make?
And if singles are only there to promote the album who cares about the chart? They don't have to be chart eligible to get played on the radio, do they?
Lucas.

Seriously, are you joking? I can only hope so. How on earth can you 'prove' someone wrong regarding a spelling error? What does that have to do with ANYTHING? You can't prove me wrong because I am not disagreeing that I made a typing error in the first place, and no doubt I will make several more.
Its a simple fact that whenever someone loses an argument (which you have) they resort to trivialities (which you have) in an attempt to cover up the fact they they were wrong.
The core points I was making were, and are, correct. You've even just ignored the well constucted arguements I've made on a number of issues you were discussing - for example with Flamboyant. You make a statement, I prove you wrong, then you can't think of anything to say so highlight a spelling error. Its pure comedy.

I've had plenty of arguments with the person you are talking about - a simple search would confirm that. I'm just tired of reading so many hopelessly ill-informed opinions on this site and feel some 'correctional' work is needed

Aren't you too old for borstal?
As for Flamboyant, so it wasn't released in January, big deal. Does this mean PSB will never ever release another January single ever again? Erm.... oh who cares!

Well as you are the one who suggested it in the first place, I presumed you did.
Its not just the fact they did not release it in January, its the reasons behind that decision which are relevant to this particular discussion.

If I want to suggest on a public forum that maybe PSB might be thinking about releasing a single in January that coincides with a tour (the last time they actually toured in January being 2000 when Drunk was released - now there's a coincidence!) then I'm fully entitled to do so. At the end of the day it's up to them and EMI, not you or I, and quite frankly I'm really not gonna lose a great deal of sleep over it. Life's too short!

You're entitled to do so, and I'm then entitled to say why it will not happen.
Its called a discussion, don't take it personally.

Correction. You're entitled to say why you don't think it will happen. Therein lies the difference.

I can say with complete confidence that it won't happen. If you find my over-confidence disturbing, well, too bad
