don't shout out too loud! It will happen one day!!! Definitely! To sell the old ones - especially spare Disco2's
Yeah my EMI source tells me that when they finally sold all D2 leftover copies they at last can use the indoor soccerfield again.

I've bought my Disco2 CD a couple of months ago (I've before the cassette with Neil's cover and I wanted the Chris' version). I paid it more or less 5€.

No. The new single will be The Performance Of My Life. It is the rock song. It's mix of Sodom Show and I Didn't Get Where I'm Today and some other PSB rock tracks (like The Truck Driver And His Mate)
.....it's my dream.

still have my doubts really! Finger crossed Parlophone will release it in UK, cause the boys really seem to point them at that way! Hoping for a success!
But I don't think we'll see a European wide release

Well Disco 3 was an alternative to releasing London as a single in the UK, so it follows that Disco 4 will be an alternative to releasing Integral.

They have probably enough "surprise" songs in their basket to be included in a promising Disco 4 album...

It's indeed the most logical way of thinking. But, as you might remember, Disco 3 didn't exactly make a massive chart impact, with its #36 peak.
The crucial question is: what will generate a better result for Parlophone:
1) Just releasing Disco 4 with minimal promotion
2) Releasing "Integral" as a single, to promote Disco 4, so that Disco 4 might sell a bit better.
Will the additional sales of Disco 4 be enough to cover the costs of releasing "Integral" as a single? Personally I think
yes, because Integral has the potential to do very well. Not only in the UK, but also in many parts of Europe. It *might* even generate some additional sales of Fundamental, if promoted properly.

I don't see why not, actually. In the Netherlands and Germany, the situation to release a new Pet Shop Boys single couldn't be better. Their colloboration with Robbie Williams on She's Madonna made #3 in Germany, if I'm not mistaken. In the Netherlands it even made #2; Pet Shop Boys' biggest hit since What Have I Done To Deserve This.
It's absolutely the PERFECT moment right now to release a Pet Shop Boys single over here. Ever since Fundamental was released, "Integral" was hailed as THE essential song on the album, THE ultimate single, THE new hit song. So why not give it a chance? The song is good enough and it deals with a very good theme. Certainly after the success of She's Madonna (LOADS of airplay in NL), there's a good chance that Integral will also generate lots of airplay.

But the cover price of Disco 3 was more than all the singles formats combined, and an album has a longer shelf life.
Let's also remember, that the two versions of London and Positive Role Model were released on the German singles and that Somebody's Elses Business & the Supertwumbo mix of Sexy Northener were planned to be extra tracks on the London UK dvd single. So in effect 50 % of the Disco 3 content was actually planned to go on the UK London singles.

But I doubt that more than 2% of radio listeners actually notice that it's a Robbie/PSB collaboration and not just a regular RW solo track.
Infact, I don't regard it as a PSB single myself.

Now the rumour mill sounds like Disco 4 is official and should be announced soon. It would not have been on HMV site if it were not official.

Could "Integral" be Pet Shop Boys' first download only single, perhaps?
