Re: Forum changes very soon!!!!
Personally I'm a libertarian and I agree with some of JSDOUVRES views, but this is not a publicly owned forum and free speech does not come into play here. The people who pay to host this site can make any rules they want and you have to abide by them if you want to use it, for free, as we are all currently doing. They can tell all users not to use the words rainbows and puppies and ban anyone they please if they felt like it. Yet it would still be consistent with free speech, for anyone can start their own site (if one wants to spend some of their own money) and badmouth the harsh restrictions and advise people not to sign up here. Not that the real restrictions aren't reasonable anyways; they're very lax with what is discussed, so long as aggressive behaviour is kept in check.
If this was the comments section on the BBC you'd have a point, for that is publicly funded, but you've contributed nothing to this site monetary-wise. I'd also recommend you take advice from Gandhi: Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be rejected. It doesn't matter if you're completely right, if you yell at people they will not listen.

Hmm, funny how JSDOUVRES actually created this topic.....is he trolling himself?BugBoy wrote:Lets clear this little detail up: The topic is called 'forum changes very soon' which therefore follows that we are talking about why those changes were felt to be made. As has been suggested a number of times this is because a couple of people incessantly start topics with the sole intention to rub people up the wrong way under the flimsy excuse of freedom of speech. Then when it is suggested that they are rude/insensitive etc to other forum members name calling ensues, personal insults begin. Everyone except 2 certain individuals are ON TOPIC in this thread, the other 2 are trolling, those are the actual facts. So my opinion is stop being an arse to everyone who doesn't share your opnions.

I'd agree with you to the extent that I too believe in libertarianism; that's why I oppose all the pious, sanctimonious hypocrites who sail in the good ship Political Correctness. Where I'd beg to differ is that I don't think JS has ever written anything particularly beyond the pale. For instance, certain individuals on here seem to confuse criticism of fundamentalist Islam for Islamophobia. That's not surprising for supine, bourgeois lefties are pusillanimous when confronted with fascism when it's not being perpetrated by white Europeans in jackboots.whateverman42 wrote:Personally I'm a libertarian and I agree with some of JSDOUVRES views, but this is not a publicly owned forum and free speech does not come into play here. Understood, in my own view I just find his behaviour aggressive and unnecessarily confrontational. But his and your views correspond close to my own regarding both awareness of the creeping fascism in governments all over the world, and revulsion towards censorship, aka political correctness. I see the mods point that the forum has become a bit more hostile and just think he needs to tone it down a little and stop insulting and shouting down others about every little point, and by doing so his views will be better received.Patrick Bateman wrote:I'd agree with you to the extent that I too believe in libertarianism; that's why I oppose all the pious, sanctimonious hypocrites who sail in the good ship Political Correctness. Re: Forum changes very soon!!!!
I am not purposely trying to be aggressive and I don't realise that I am to be honest (if I am that is!) but when people are silent and refuse to condemn evil rapists such as in Rotherham due to Political correctness or whatever reason it is then to be honest I have a good reason to be pretty angry, shocked and disgusted as should we all. I don't do that on purpose, maybe I have too many principles that I strongly believe in and find it difficult when people purposely discriminate due to race or for whatever ridiculous reason, I don't know, what I do know though is that there are a hell of a lot of people that are either too afraid to comment on certain things or whom for some reason refuse to which I find astounding. Yet the same people feel obliged to attack and criticise the British Indigenous people at every possible turn while preaching equality for immgrants (which I agree with of course) only to then blatently refuse to practice that by openly refusing any negative thoughts or views on them whatsoever even in the kind of circumstances we see in Rotherham for example which is unnaceptable. When will people actually realise that for any society to actually be equal this is a fundamentally important aspect of life? Never it seems and until the rules apply to EVERYBODY. This country still has a lot to learn.whateverman42 wrote:Understood, in my own view I just find his behaviour aggressive and unnecessarily confrontational. Re: Forum changes very soon!!!!
Continuously assuming that everyone here supports rape, or terrorism, is pretty insulting.
Anyone with any sense is not going to get involved.
Yet if we say, of course we condemn all of those things, you keep banging on and on about it.
Week after week. It's boring.
Suggesting that on the internet, people are afraid to speak ; well that is just ludicrous.
Get off the computer and go out and have some fun.
Anyone with any sense is not going to get involved.

Here we go again! Since when have I said that people here support rape or terrorism? Are you mad?gregf wrote:Continuously assuming that everyone here supports rape, or terrorism, is pretty insulting.

And anybody with any sense is not going to get involved? Like you have? Or the others that are trying to shut me up and change the subject? Is that not getting involved? Or is it intentionally trying not to get involved through fear?
And keep banging on about it? Since whan do I get a chance? Because apparently according to some people I have no right to talk about it at all in the first place. That is as much of what this is all about as well as everything else now. That is plain to see. And it is incredibly clear that people ARE afraid to speak Internet or not. That is plainly obvious.
GregF, if you don't like the subject then move on, ignore it. By doing what you are doing you are getting involved in a negative and disruptive way. Trolling perhaps?
And I have plenty of fun, plenty thank you very much but that does not mean I have no right to a voice here or anywhere else. Nice try.

You do support terrorism, or at least you happily give that impression when it comes to places like Palestine anyway, because as you know Hamas are known in countries all over the world as officially a terrorist organisation which means to support them means the obvious.GalataPSB wrote:gregf wrote:Continuously assuming that everyone here supports rape, or terrorism, is pretty insulting.

Anyway, I don't expect you at have an opinion on rapes commited by Muslims, for obvious reasons. Mybe they feel "sad" about what the Imperialist white British did centuries ago so they should be allowed to do as they wish? I have heard that or words to that extent from your mouth before. Idiotic.
Oh dear, Have I offended a Liberal leftie or similar somewhere? What a shame.........On them that is.

I've given my opinion quite a few times, just not an opinion you like hearing. The forum changes have come about because of topics which you hijack. Your views are NOT the problem, the way you put them across (and in doing so encourage, intentionally or otherwise, other people to respond in like) ARE the problem, THAT is why forum changes have happened, that is my opinion.JSDOUVRES wrote:Sorry BugBoy if you believe I am trolling a topic I started myself again..... Hijack? Topics I have made myself? Or is it by giving honest opinions you don't like? You are trying to hijack the topic right now and have done so throughout. Trying to shut down a topic because you don't like it is pathetic. And sorry, you are saying that I am encouraging people to respond how exactly? You don't make a lot of sense. Are you saying I want people to support terrorists and rapists? Or am I giving the opinion (I might well be) that people intentionally (you are a fantastic example) avoid subjects due to the reasons we all know? If this topic was about how cute puppies and kittens are then you really wouldn't give it a second thought now would you? But to talk about the things I do.......OMG! So offensive, so awful, so out of order, such a violation of freedom of speech, such a big no no, etc etc etc. The new rules (which are what exactly? Not speaking about things that you personally don't want to discuss?) have nothing to do with this, this is all about idiots whom are so PC they can't even ignore something that they don't like, they have to try and close it down for their own personal and pathetic "moral" reason. If you don't like my views, don't like the topic then IGNORE it. It's pretty easy, not rocket science. Or do you need a "forum rule" in order to do that? Maybe a moderator could wipe your arse for you too? Just a joke, ha ha ha.BugBoy wrote:I've given my opinion quite a few times, just not an opinion you like hearing. What in Gods name are you talking about man!!! You ask for me to make an opinion then claim I am hijacking the thread. A few people have suggested this but seriously you do need to get some professional help, you are sounding genuinly deranged. Your response is filled with so much make believe jibberish I don't think anyone on here would know where to start. God alone knows what actually goes on in that head of yours. Did you actually READ my post......obviously not based on your response, just reverted to type.

Obviously I meant opinions on the events we are (trying) to discuss here, you know, the ones that you are trying to avoid..... Isn't it obvious? I and nobody cares what you think about me (really, sticks and stones and all that stuff) just try to forget about that and stop using me as an excuse to hijack the thread. But, just to (try) and make it clear.... What are your thoughts on the events in Rotherham and such? Why are we living in a country where as such serious and sick crimes are ignored and allowed to carry on because of fear of offending somebody? Why are we living in a country where as people have a massive problem with even admitting such things exist, yet alone being able or allowed to discuss it? Why are people on here doing everything they can to silence me?BugBoy wrote:JSDOUVRES wrote:Hijack? Topics I have made myself? Or is it by giving honest opinions you don't like? Some good questions there, or maybe I am hijacking your hijacking attempt? Sorry if I am. Obviously when I get older I want to be as clever and observant as you........................
