I've got these out from the library:
The Road to Stalingrad
The Mill on the Floss - George Eliot
Our Times 1953-2008 (chapter on the 60's, thatcher, other p.m.'s etc...)
I wanted a decent looking book on the cold war too but couldn't find one..
