We've just got back from watching The Road, and I have to say what a strange, depressing and plot holed little film it was. My girlfriend had read the book and said it was a lot more tense and psychological, but it was ok for a free film.

did you keep thinking something was gonna happen in 'the road', only for it not to?

I watched 'the invention of lying' the other day. what a wonderful concept for a film. probably too good a concept to be portrayed in 90 mins, hence it was good but not spectacular. made me smile, no belly laughs tho.

Yes ! That's exactly the feeling I got from The Road ! I was half expecting for his son to get abducted and then he'd spend the rest of the film attempting to get him back.

I don't understand why they had to leave the bunker with all those supplies in, just because they heard a dog. It's not as if they could have been got to ....

The invention of lying is on my Blockbuster Online list, so it's worth seeing then ?

its nothing spectacular, just nice, easy viewing. it'll make u smile.

I'm watching the remastered 'Metropolis' on the tele.

everyone keeps telling me I have to see a movie called "there will be blood" so much so that I looked it up on youtube to see if there was any cool scenes that would make me want to see the whole thing and quite frankly the one I clicked on was the most insane nonsense I have ever seen.

some crazy looking guy ranting I.......drink.......YOUR.....milkshake!! my straw ....comes all over from the other side of the room and drinks....YOUR milkshake!!

I watched the terminal with my gf. Holy moly, how did a movie with Tom Hanks directed by Spielburg turn out so truly awful. Really really super bad.

We saw that at the cinema..it was really boring!
So was that religious film he was in (Can't remember what it's called..based on the book..?) I'd never actually fallen asleep in a cinema before.
I also fell asleep during the King Kong remake they did..it was far too long and quite boring! Woke up and it was going off


Last night I watched Silence of the Lambs..I like this film! I've seen it before but not for a few years. It's better than alot of horror films...it's not predictable.

the da vinci code? angels and demons? liked both of these.

^da vinci code! that's it! Sorry but I found it very boring..and overrated at the time.

My girlfriend and I watched THIRST on DVD last night.

Very dark humour and really quite gross in places. Excellent film though and well worth tracking down.

Just watched Hannibal..it wasn't that bad actually.

Watched Shadowlands the other day...very sad Anthony Hopkins is such a good actor..I'm contemplating buying 84 Charing Cross Road. It has good reviews on amazon.

Watching Casablanca at the moment..

Has anyone seen The Party? I saw it in hmv, sounds quite funny.

84 Charing Cross Road is quite sweet really as the story of an epistolary affair. As you've been watching the Hannibal films, have you seen Manhunter yet? No Hopkins but pretty damn good, although Brian Cox is far more terrifying as Michael Martin.

^I've just bought 84 Charing Cross Road on amazon because I couldnt find it to watch online. It was only a few pounds..in HMV it's £20!
No I havent seen Manhunter. There's Red Dragon too..is that the remake of Manhunter? I wasn't planning on watching Red Dragon or Hannibal Rising (the trailer looked dire)..Hannibal was watchable and ok, but I probably wouldn't watch it again.
