Interesting. I do have a lot of sympathy for English people facing a flood of immigration. Because there really is a distinctive British/English way of life that is worth preserving, I would not like to see it lost.

That said, it's within living memory that the English could barely stand white, English-speaking Irish people. They were considered foreign and "other" for uh, the f*** longest time.

Two, Irish people are 'foreign' to English people and indeed your bizarre crass generalising point of view is insulting to English people as regards their view point and would be insulting to many Irish people who, quite rightly, get irritated when they get lumped in with the rest of the UK.

Actually I think being beaten up by the natives is proof of their acceptance. Add in a dose of gonorrhea, the ability to consume ten pints in an hour, and they'll soon be able to pass the UK citizenship test.

Sorry but that is a pathetic attempt at trying to dirty Britain, yes there are bad, stupid people here, what on earth does that have to do with protecting this country from over immigration?

Obviously you couldn't care less about Britain, just the right of Romanian's to flood this country which will happen and already has in other parts of Europe. Economic immigration they call it and when the hourly wage in Romania is about £1 an hour you can see why.

Perhaps if Romania was faced with a similar threat from a poorer country you'd understand but it is clear you really couldn't care less about Britain which I find sad really. More help should be given to Romania to increase the quality of life rather than just have people leave in huge numbers. That's what I would do, give financial aid to help with the Romanian infrastructure which is in desperate need of reform, same as Bulgaria. I suppose I will be called racist again by the same old people but my views are sensible and I wouldn't think that helping out these countries financially was a good idea if I was racist would I?

Anyway, come next January we will see what happens and I have no doubt whatsoever that we will see a similar influx as we did from Poland and Lithuania which is crazy as we simply do not have the space or services for that again. Time will tell.

It's a non story really. If two English roamed the streets some Eastern European countries, they would be lucky to end up with only a beating.

A mate of mine was contract working in Bradford laying pavements and the locals (Asians) spoken to them like shit, spat and were generally hateful. All British but still the hatred.
