I can imagine security will be shit hot so chances of any leaked recordings nearly zero, although I'm sure it will be recorded for posterity

Elton John has old-fashioned stag night

Elton John and his partner David Furnish tonight held a joint stag party with their “wedding” just two days away.

“We’re going to tie them to a lamppost, cover them with shaving foam – it’s an old-fashioned stag do,” said TV presenter Paul O’Grady, who compered tonight’s glitzy cabaret.

Other stars who arrived at Too2Much in Soho, London, included rock star Bryan Adams, TV game show contestant Janet Street-Porter, veteran TV star Cilla Black, singer Gary Barlow and rock star Kid Rock.

Elton and Mr Furnish – who tie the knot on Wednesday in what will be one of England’s first civil partnerships – were smuggled into the venue just minutes before the show was to start.

I went along and spent a cold night hanging around this Soho back-street waiting for Neil and Chris to appear. I saw Paul O'Grady coming and going a few times and managed to get a few snaps of him with my simple camera. At this point the 'Press Gang' was quite small in number so anything was possible. I also saw Janet Street-Porter a few times. Also managed to get photos of Sir Ian McLellan and a few others. I didn't go along for autographs but only to get some photos for my own amusement. My eyes widened when I saw Dave Dorrell pull up in his car and I got a few photos of HIM but alas......the elusive Chris and Neil were nowhere to be seen. By this time the press were out in force and it was crazy. I got head butted with a camera......pushed left, right and centre and almost squashed to death in the rush up and down the street by a stampede of cameramen and Journalists all trying to get a piece of celebrity. I suppose it was my own fault for being in such a dangerous predicament. A lot of the passing public had by this time sussed something was happening and all hung around with their phone cameras. Screams and shouts and camera flashes told everyone someone else had arrived and caused more stampedes. The police arrived to keep an eye on things. The half-drunk, half-crazed and pye-eyed decided it was an occasion for entertainment and so gave some scenes of their own singing, shouting and generals antics. Four hours later some old guy told me that the Pet Shop Boys were already inside the building and had been for most of the day. Normally I wouldn't believe it....but.....tired, hungry, cold and generally 'P**sed off....I took my leave. I didn't see Elton and quite frankly I didn't care. I don't regret going though........

I saw pics of the arrivals on Getty Images and of course no PSB seen. How on earth did they get there?

One of the songs PSB performed was Gloria Gaynor's "I am what I am" in duet with Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears.

The stag 'do' for Elton John and David Furnish took place in London's Soho last night. The flamboyant rock star and his partner invited a bunch of guests to Too2Much, where Paul O' Grady took to the stage as his alter ego, Lily Savage to host the event. Gary Barlow sung 'Relight My Fire' with fellow Take That stars Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Lulu and the Pet Shop Boy's Neil Tennant did a rendition of 'I Am What I Am' with Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears.

Other stars turning up for one of the biggest parties in London this year were, Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon with children Jack and Kelly, Orlando Bloom and Graham Norton.

Elton and David will wed in a civil ceremony in Windsor on Wednesday.

I always thought that Graham Norton had a bit of Ozzy in him.

"I am What I am" -went and listened, it's okay I guess- Neil and jake singing it would be cool to hear.

The Gloria Gaynor version was I suppose a gay anthem in 83..interesting to imagine Neil and Jake singing it..it's ok. And it's....around.
