In one post you say "Numb" has more possibilty of being a single than "Im With Stupid", then just 3 minutes later you say it will be a double A side with "Im With Stupid"

HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW?

You don't need to use capital letters if you want to ask me something.

I think the main single is "Numb". They can make a double A side with "I'm with stupid" but I think "Numb" will be more promoted. That's what I wanted to say.

I am still sticking to my idea that they simply havent decided what will be the second single between the two so they put in both for now.

Hum, maybe they have to pay some royalties to Diane Warren for "Numb". I don't know if it could be a reason to take some decisions.

You can hear the demo of "Numb" sung by Diane Warren on the bbc2 show: the Diane Warren Story. I think the final version is an electronic song with strong orchestral arrangements.

Trevor Horn: "from electronic to acoustic and back again, twice, with a 50-piece orchestra."

OK, this is all getting very confusing.

Minimal is meant to be released on March 13th- this is 5 weeks before the album's release. If this is true it will go to radio stations five or six weeks before relaese. That's either next week, or the week after so I guess we'll find out of this release date stands pretty quick now.

Then Numb is now scheduled to follow on May 8th which means it will probably go to radio stations on about April 3rd (again, 5 weeks before release). This is only 3 weeks after Minimal is released, and therefore Minimal will probably still be in the charts and on the radio, surely.

These dates dont really add up to me. One of them is wrong, if not possibly both as it seems a very strange way to market an album. I would expect Minimal to come out one or two weeks before the album and then the second single, whatever that may be, to follow six or eight weeks later.

However, having said all that The Tears last year released their first single (Refugees) on April 25th, followed it with the album on June 6th and then a second single about three weeks later. The strategy didnt really work and the album sunk as did the second single.

I really hope PSB are not about to follow a similar marketing strategy as it strikes me as a bit crazy.

I've yet to read anything concrete regarding Minimals release date, all I've seen listed are those forthcoming records lists on various non-official websites. Personally I reckon the album is coming out earlier than April 17th and it is all an attempt to disuade people from downloading it, the theory probably goes the shorter time between leaking after promos being widely issued and being released the more likely people will hold back from downloading

Do you mean "royalties"?

If so, the answer will of course be yes.

As some of us have said before on this, and many other threads, it is entirely pointless discussing or arguing over release dates and schedules.

At some point soon they will be officially confirmed - until then it's a waste of time and the discussion just goes round and round and round ad infinitum.
