I 'd love if they could perform 1-2 songs that we don't expect.

Like Miserablism, Kings Cross (new version)

To be honest, I'd like something along the lines of their Live 8 bit. As in with "full band" versions of the songs.

Something between Performance and 1989 tour. I would love to see Chris dancing in his underpants live.

as long as it's nothing like the nightlife tour. i'm not sure what was worse, the concert itself or the ridiculous late-80's montage laid on top of it. i had to stop an hour in. performance, though slightly dated, will always be the most amazing recorded concert i've ever seen.

As has been noted here before, wonderful though it would be, a 'Performance' style staging simply isn't going to happen - the Boys will be never be in a position to lose so much money on such a delightful folly ever again.

That being the case, my favourite PSB lives after Performance were Hacienda / Heaven and Creamfields. They should keep the venues small enough that the tour sells out quite fast, and then due to overwhelming demand they are forced to add more dates. They should get their hands on as many lasers, strobes and smoke machines as licensing authorities allow, play really long sets and go for it. Sod the dancers, the back projections and anything arty. Just Neil, Chris, SMJ, the sound to 11 and the bass large!

Why not? They're certainly more financially secure now, and chasing artistic ambitions rather than commercial seems much more logical since the latter would seem to be a lost cause anyway.

Another thing of course is that doing another theatrical show of that scope is probably not a great ambition of theirs, since they've already been there and done that.

Something between "Nightlife" and "Discovery" tours.

Exactly. They have streched that concept to the very extreme (15 years on no artist have been near the level of theatrics in a pop show). And remember, Performance was designed to be performed in theatres, and it was in USA.[/i]

as i recall, the boys were told that even if they sold out every night of the performance tour, they would face a projected loss of at least half a million pounds, given the costs involved in staging the show etc. but they still went ahead anyway.

their careeer is at a far different point now. as we all know, they do not enjoy the sales they once did. so why would they want to risk another financial diaster albeit a creatively fulfilling one?

Because they have a shitload of money they didn't have in 1991. AND they have loosened up a little on the sponsor issue (Performance wouldn't have cost them a cent if they would agree on the sponsorship deals all other groups agree on).

Something what fits the new songs, what that mite be is just wild guess so far.

the only tour i have seen is PERFORMANCE. i am a newbie. what other tours exist on DVD besides nightlife...how many tours have they been on?

As long as they come to Brazil, any tour will do...

Maybe they should do same as Erasure. Only acoustic. Would be soooo weird.
