PSB told in some interview they were supposed to release CIH as first single from Fundamental.

i think getting upset over one word in a song is silly.

i really think this is one of their best albums. the production is wonderful and ties it all together nicely. the lyrics are funny, sad, and moving. there are several choices for followup singles. hopefully the remixes will live up to the songs.

i wonder if the b sides will be TH productions as well?

Well I agree with you that this is one of their best albums, probably my favorite, that's for sure.

Very unlikely. Horn is a very expensive guy - hiring him for b-side sessions would be something of a waste. Plus the b-sides were recorded after the album, for which the sessions with Horn ended November 14th.

I have some sympathy with the "tell it how it is" attitude expressed by some posters, but ultimately, try as I might, a part of me hates the lyric and almost tries to blank it out, or pretend it's not obvious.

I think that, once the dust has settled on the new release, the joke will have worn a bit thin.

i think the line "his erection will live in history" is one of the best lines ever

I mean the whole song is about him not being able to get it up anymore

It's not about being a prude, it's about having the songs theme pointed out to you in such an obvious way. I prefer the Pet Shop Boys songs where you have to think about the lyrics and can interpret them in several ways.

But that's just it... the line ISN'T a joke... it's very serious, at least to Casanova.

As usual, the Petties break our hearts with Casanova's diminished status, a man past his prime, in denial... and then they twist it and pull the rug from under us. Wonderful.

Which, of course, could be a metaphor for many things...

A brilliant and beautiful song.
