I just got home (I stayed overnight and had to catch a flight!). IT was a fantastic concert and a brilliant setting at Swann Hunter's Shipyard. I was frozen and my fingertips were so numb I couldn't feel my camera but it was worth it. I managed to get the same spot that I had in Trafalgar square, at the front leaning on the barrier.
Myself and a few of the fans I met with pulled up some of the posters on the pavements directing everyone to the venue. They are very 'sticky' but I plan to frame it.
Wallsend metro station was FULL of posters of the event but I stopped short of pinching one of those.
I looked behind a few times and there was a sea of thousands of people and the huge 'arches' displayed different shades of florescent lighting. Magical.
Myself and a few of the fans I met with pulled up some of the posters on the pavements directing everyone to the venue. They are very 'sticky' but I plan to frame it.

Very positive review in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
Evening Chronicle
The post mentions a few people leaving, but these were mainly people who had no clue what the event was all about, and were expecting PSB to play Go West and West End Girls.
Some random comments from the piece
It is startling stuff and the Pet Shop Boys' soundtrack fuses electro pop with full orchestrations fantastically.
One look around the packed yard showed everyone entranced by what was unfolding. You couldn't take your eyes off the screen and did not miss the lack of stage presence.
Battleship Potemkin is, in fact, gripping stuff, and Tennant and Lowe's new soundtrack equally so. The location could not have been more apt, the cranes and shipyard surroundings only adding to what, in the end, turned out to be a memorable night.

Some people left half way through but it was Bloody cold some made a dash for the exit before the encore.
agent doris did you also take the posters off the pavement.
MissTrickyDisco has me on film going for food there is a lady in a light blue coat I'm just in front of her I have my big parker coat on.
Who was the guy that just had a shirt on near the front (nutter)and I spoted a lady in a Performance T-shirt or something like .
And there was a Jarvis Cocker look alike near the front.
A cold but Great Night...........
