Where is Fundamental and I'm with stupid in the UK chart today?

Exactly. They were in commercial decline the moment Heart was toppled from the number one slot one Sunday evening in 1988. I imagine it was Brookes who relayed the news and how ironic that all these years later PSB would be charting with Fundamental whilst the diminutive chart supremo would have a heart attack. Can he forgive her?

Who the f*** is buying Feeder's Greatest Hits? And those c**** Snow Patrol? And the arse-emptyingly awful Jack Johnson singing about a cartoon monkey!!!!!

Did Neil not say on radio that it had a target of 100,000 sales in the UK? I would imagine that will be hit.

thing is critical acclaim, positive reviews never seem to have a huge influence on actual sales. A bands name and whether or not something is trendy seem to have a greatear influence on commercial success. Great album sales tend to come from fair weather music fans who'll purchase an album out in town on Saturday afternoon or with the weekly shop, hence success of Blunt, Dido, U2, RHCP, it's coffee table music, bland and with nothing to say

Music videos and radio exposure also help.

100,000 sales might be pushing it though

Feeder - Had a band member commit suicide not that long ago. So morons get emotional and buy anything they do. Example - Manic Street Preachers.

I think Snow Patrol are ok. Just another one in a glut of bands who seem to matter at the moment.

Jack Johnson. Suicide music, hence it sells well.

I must admit I quite like Feeder. 'Feeling a Moment' and 'Just The Way I'm Feeling' are both fantastic rock ballads, in my opinion. Snow Patrol are OK - I have their last album Final Straw, though their latest material has left me cold. As for Jack Johnson, I'm mystified as to what his appeal is.

The UK album chart seems to be dominated by M.O.R music. This is either in the form of singer songwriters, crap r n' b, ancient rock bands or really bland indie that isn't indie at all.

The album chart needs looking at in the right perspective. Although the album fell 17 places, everyone needs to remember that Fundamental can only do as well as the album above it. Fundamental sold another 10,000 copies this week. I think thats pretty good going.

Their 12th Top 10 album, its first single I'm With Stupid reached number eight last month, charting as high as any Pet Shop Boys single in the past decade. Fundamental had a better first week than the Pet Shop Boys' last two albums of new material - Release debuted at number seven on sales of 18,008 in 2002 and Nightlife also debuted at number seven on sales of 17,038 in 1999.

Fundamental sold 9825 copies in the UK last week. A drop of 63% from the previous week and the biggest drop in the chart. Total UK sales for FUN have been 36319.

At 98 is Discography which sold 2092 copies last week, bringing its total 339,497 during the 93 weeks its been in the charts.

I'm with stupid is at 93 in the singles chart having sold 853 copies last week, bringing its total to 22,857
