When i was younger i didn't want to believe everyone when they took the pi55 out of me calling them gay... i was well gutted when Neil made it 'official'.

At the time i was very naive and very young that's all i can say!

Chris IS gay for the 100th time...
When Love comes quickly came out Neil and Chris were thinking all the people would think it was gay because Chris had that BOY-cap on the cover.
Neil said it was very obvious he was gay before he came out. He said it wasn´t much of a surprise.

then why does he keep hiding it in public if he HAS declared himself as gay
and he's commenting girls a lot in various interviews
he was blabbing something about Paris Hilton in T4 interview...
and acts quite macho without showing any gestures as Neil does
how do you explain that all?

You´re straight, aren´t you ?
Usually people only see those stereotypes as gay but not all of gays are like you´d imagine, behaving like women....There are many gay people who seem like they´d be straight. So don´t stereotype.

No, I'm not straight. I'm gay.

And I'm not one of those either. :)

Ok. But Chris is one of those anyway.

it's simple: neil is yin, chris is yang. hence the beautiful partnership flowers and blooms and creates all sorts of wonderful thingies.. :P

Not everyone is a walking, talking stereotype.
Gays and straights take many different forms.
Open your mind.

So they performed 'Homosexuality' at a gig, they wrote music for Liza Minelli and Dusty Springfield, they performed at a Stonewall show and Gay Pride, they wrote New York city boy, had a hit with Go West, Chris rises out of a pit playing 'It's a Sin' on a large organ at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom on a tv documentary and he supports Arsenal. And people still have doubts?

lordy!

PS: The Arsenal bit is a joke, before I get uppity responses from people.

I thought it was funny...

Everything PSB seem to do these days gets described as being camp. Even the topic starter, Jareth, thought Integral was camp.

I think that everyone assumed from fairly early on that Neil, at least, was gay. At some point, though, PSB's musical and video output began to reflect their sexuality far more openly; they couldn't retain the slight air of mystery that made them quite cool from 85 to 88. The Domino Dancing video, It Couldn't Happen Here (the movie), the first tour and then videos like Where the streets have no name (I can't take my eyes off you) and Was It Worth It took them from "I think they're gay, but they're pretty cool" in the eyes of the public to "lovable camp pop duo". Very then sealed the deal on people's image of PSB.

Aren't I right is saying that Neil has stated that he had long-ish term relationships with women in the 70s? I think Neil was probably quite repressed and screwed up by his sexuality during PSB's imperial phase (maybe even celibate?), which may have contributed to the tension and mystery in PSB's early output. "Liberation" came later for him.

Any person should be free to be "in" or "out". That's a very personal choice based on very private issues, often involving close family.

Leave Chris alone, I say.

I think Neil has said something like - "There was no one else in my bed in the '80s".

I always thought there was an interesting irony in the idea of a cellibate pop star - because it's so different from the cliched stereotype.
