I would guess that 'Numb' will be the third single. it's traditional to release a slow song as the third single in the music biz, isn't it? Luna Park, whilst being a better song perhaps, isn't really a single.

I do not think they release a 4th single. Three at the most.

That is another reason for not releasing it - the money they will get from it will be markedly reduced since they are not the songwriters.
I dislike Numb, it's the only weak track of the Fundamental era so far. But still I can't see how releasing it as a single would harm them in any way. It's the third single off the album so it's likely to be ignored by everybody except the fans, who will buy the singles because of the b-sides anyway. So in the worst case it just drifts by without anybody noticing it; in the best case it could gain some airplay and get some new people interested, since it's not a typical PSB track. Besides, why get a hitmaker/schlockmeister like Warren in, if you're not going to release the song as a single?

(Although personally I feel drafting Warren in was a big mistake and Numb is the blot on the album. They really should have replaced it with a Horn-produced version of The Resurrectionist)
