Well they stated themselves that they are sick of house and trance, but I agree, you can't rely on anything they say. Stranger things have happened, its just highly unlikely.

It certainly has trace leanings, but that mix is 4 years old now, they stated they were sick of house/trance relatively recently (perhaps someone can remember the exact interview date, I can't, but it was within the last year).

So even though they know trance died in 1998 and they're sick to death of it they're quite happy to put trance tracks on Fundamentalism and D3 but it's OK 'cos they're remixes?

Well when they commission a remix and it comes back with trance leanings they either have to bin it and waste 10 grand, or live with it.

Remixers do have autonomy, you know.

Still they decided to release this trance remix on Disco 3. They could also have decided NOT to release it. BTW: It was also on the US-edition of Release. On that edition it was even called 'Second Trance remix'.

I'm talking about how remixing normally works, not about HAD specifically. Though the logic still applies, as it WAS a remix and the remixers had autonomy.

What is it exactly you are failing to understand here? They have stated recently they are sick of trance/house.

Therefore, its safe to say that given we are NOT talking about a remix, and given that they have said they are sick of house/trance, that you will not see any trance-influenced output from them now or in the near future.

Um, Here from D3 has already been mentioned in this very thread not 10 minutes ago

Repeat: there's no proof IP is a remix, more likely it's a track finished off by Stuart Chrichton in the same way he finished off Miracles, Tomcraft finished off Flamboyant, and Richard X finished off Fugitive.

If there was a true PSB & Elton studio version of this then I'm sure that would be on the single with Minimal, rather than a mere edit of a previously released 'remix'

The bit that says that the Here in question is essentially an album track on D3, and if PSB knew trance died in 1998 then perhaps they might have made the track sound slightly different to what it does?
