Argh, so basically you cannot, say, "export" Neil's vocals out of U-myx system as an audio file (Wav or whatever)?

Yes you can! Just turning off all the other channels (except the vocals), and exporting the result as wav...(assuming it´s just like the New Order U-myx feature...)

Having spent a lot of the afternoon playing with the PSB U-MYX i think it'll go down well- but those that want to export parts won't be able to without having a bit of a think about how...

This isn't a U-MYX thing- its a major label thing.

That wasn't U-MYX, was something different.

There are a few similar things about.

U-MYX has been used by artists like Paul McCartney, The Killers, Muse, Mike Oldfield etc etc. Its probably the least 'complicated' of the interactive music experiences, but as a result is the one that many artists tend to favour.

Less is more...

There's a free U-MYX track offered by NME at the moment by a band called Klaxons.

The Erasure feature was on "Digimpro", similar to U-MYX but with it the artist must provide different sounds and arrangements to play with...what means much more effort from PSB, and maybe that´s why they choose U-MYX instead...

The U-MYX version is kind of its own edit. You can have those amazing orchestral parts at the beginning of the song and in the choruses (rather than just at the ending)- which make it sound amazing- and there is another track of 'Minimals' vocals that you can blend in for the verses/bridges. Works really well.

Its not going to make Fatboy slim out of you- but will probably keep you pinnned to it for about 10 hours nonetheless hearing all the options for how it can sound. Neil singing and just acoustic guitar is great.

Not heard any remixes- i only have the U-MYX.

Word on the street is that a free 30 second clip of the U-MYX is going to be released next week...

So it seems that we´ll have two goodies for the price of one...one new version, and the chance to play with it to do our own mixes!
I was really worried about the orchestral bits, as in the radio edit are really short, and I wish to had the chance to heard them in full glory...but what you said gave me big hopes
