On a serious note, it's the safety issue that concerns me when this happens. Blocked escape routes and crowd surges can have serious consequences if something goes wrong.
It may be fun to push everyone out the way and challenge security, but it was obvious that they were seriously under-staffed last night in terms of stewarding and event management.
Thankfully, nothing went wrong and a good time was had by most!

There was no safety issue, and at a concert like that you are never going to prevent people standing up and enjoying themselves. And if there were some sort of emergency, its every man for himself anyway - the aisles would soon fill up even if they were not previously full.
No-one in the A-Block lost their seat, they simply had to stand up in order to see the show properly. However many in the £125 seats decided to sit there looking sour faced, whilst the commoners revolted and actually had a really good time.
Just goes to show that money can't buy you happiness.

VERY well said Jamie, as yo usay money can't buy you happiness, that was EXACTLY my views on the posh seats, and yes, all they had to do was stand up. Not sure if they had been to a gig before-its always hot, sweaty and intimate, there has to be some give and take.
On another note my sister rang the venue to see if they had her jacket and the organiser said that she’d never seen a group with such adoring fans!! Kinda like that.

i think i saw you there; would've said hello, but as soon as Left to my own devices started, well, that was it really, i was off and dancing......were you there with the girl with the pink hat?
quite a few of the superseats were empty, so quite early on i just started folding them up and putting them to the side to free up more space to dance, which seemed like the obvious thing to do. the people sitting down were just such a miserable bunch; they kept on casting dirty looks as if there was something distasteful about dancing and shouting all the words. and that was another thing that impressed me. maybe i was near lots of hardcore fans, but when they segued into shopping, it got a huge cheer and everyone belted out the words.
can't wait for tonight and a similar outbreak of rowdiness! although i can't imagine that security will be so shabby two nights running.

I feel depressed... if I had known the cheaper tickets would have been just as good... onyl reason I didn't go was the prices! Since it isn't like I live that far away from London...
One can only wait for the tour then...

I thought it was the best crowd I've seen at a PSB concert. As the Standard review said it felt like a rave at times. Normally the crowd reluctantly stand up for the stompers, and sit down at the first opportunity, last night it was one long party!
Bit disappointed with the setlist - too much old material, nothing from Nightlife, 1 each from Release and Bilingual. But I'm nitpicking really, it was fabulous.
Oh, and you don't need a car park, you can park free on the meters after 6:30.
Oh, and Lorraine were great as well, wish more people saw them. "A pleasure to support our favourite band" as they said.

Well tonight (Thursday) was much much better!
The sound had been improved 100%, the event organisation was much better and a great time was had by all!
Psychological was cut - straight into Left to my own devices from God Willing.....
No surging forward, so no bad moods, and all the people in the front block were dancing around too......
Woo hoo!

After God Willing Neil announced there were 'technical problems' and the sound was pretty dire at times. For me, 'Where the Streets..' was far and away the best moment. Something very odd going on with the backing track on Integral.. the Minimal/Shopping segue was nice, but really the sound system was not good enough. They did their acoustic bit and half the audience rushed off to the bar
I really wanted a proper 'So Hard' (my all time fave), but It's A SIn/Go West worked v.well as encores. Nice dancers and 'dreaming of the queen' with the footage of Diana's funeral was pretty poignant.
Overall, enjoyable and it's always a pleasure to pay tribute to them, but the sound was a real let-down. I only hope things are better at Thetford (I've a funny feeling they will be
)
I paid £48.50 and was really quite a long way back. Sodom went down pretty well, but the new songs just weren't generally well received - the crowd wanted the classics.

Interesting you should say that. After Wednesday's chaos, I complained to the promoters. They offered me two tickets in the fourth row of block as an apology. Who am i to say no?!
Anyway, the sound in the front section was fantastic, so it appears to be an issue with the speakers further back.
Anyway, being so close it was interesting to see how much Neil was singing live and how much he used his pre-recorded backing vocals! He sounded much better tonight!
