given that IMP is promoting it, I would imagine it will come through the 930 club email list... so i imagine I'll have it today or tomorrow and will share..

Oh, cool... i'm on that list as well.

I might not go, though... i bit the bullet and bought tix for the NYC show. It was pricey, but a weekend trip to NY to see PSB at Radio City Music hall was just something I couldn't pass up.... Even though I was stupid and didn't get tix during the presale. If only I had made up my mind sooner, I could have got better seats. Oh well, the seats I got were still decent... I'm debating whether to do both DC and NYC..

I'm doing NYC and DC as well...was going to do Minneapolis, as I have family out there, but then randomly ended up signing a new lease two weeks ago, so had to cut that out...

all the same, I'm seeing them in Ireland at Electric Picnic as well...

I'm just a teensy bit of a fan :p

That's awesome! I'm all about going to multiple shows for some of my favorite artists.

In 2001, I took time off from work and went to 6 Tori Amos shows. It was the most fun i've ever had on a roadtrip.

I just don't know timing-wise if the DC show will work, since the plan will probably be to spend the whole weekend in NYC, and drive up that Friday night. But we'll see... I certainly wouldn't mind seeing them twice :)

Just got this email:

Pet Shop Boys Presale
No doubt if Oscar Wilde was to create a modern day band, the result might approach the pop-synth style of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, otherwise known as The Pet Shop Boys. The highly visual duo are back with a return-to-form new album, Fundamental, and corresponding tour.

I swear Ticketmaster doesn't offer the best seats for pre-sales....

which is fine, cause I'm getting a pair of tickets fora friend on saturday as well... so whichever is the better of the pairs, I keep... Row FF is for the f*** birds.. especially within one minute of them going on sale (I mean, it was quick enough that the confirmation email sent was time stamped 10:01)

they do suck. I am going to wait until the 29th. is there anyplace else we can get these tix?

One thing you guys have to understand, is that ticketmaster doesnt really "sell" tickets, they just act as an agent for the venues. (taking a nice cut in the process)

They don't decide what seats to put on sale during presales or any other time, it's the venues that decide that.

Also, many many seats are taken up before they even go on sale, by the promoter, radio station, the artist, season ticket holders, VIP packages, ticket holds for other venue VIP's, etc.

You can go to a ticket broker but you will pay 2x - 10x as much.

This apparently explains those 200 USD prices I saw on some ticket sites...

Mind you, they are even selling the pre-sale passwords on eBay and other places.
