I like Luna Park a lot too, but needless to say, it wouldn't have much potential released as the third single.

I think in general, all of the slow tracks, except for Numb, hold up the best after the 100th listen (or so).

I'd take this bunch:

Casanova In Hell
Luna Park
Indefinite Leave To Remain
I Made My Excuses And Left

Any day over this bunch:

Minimal
Integral
The Sodom And Gomorrah Show
Twentieth Century

Indifferent to the rest but Twentieth Century and Made my Excuses sometimes grab my attention

I am yet to decide if Fundamental is a run of the mill one or a masterpiece

I agree, though I'm a Minimal addict and showing no signs of tiring of the mini-elf

it's good but so is casanova in hell for example

Minimal is marvellous, isn't it? It's bouncy but non-mortifyingly so. It's been a while since they've put out an upbeat single that doesn't require a balaclava for one's head when listening to it in public places.

I like Luna Park but it cannot be 3rd single or any single.

I don't get it. perhaps this is because I'm a newbie but why are you guys so cringy at listening to PSB in public? why do you care what anyone/everyone else thinks? it's all good! listen to it with pride, man! I'd rather listen to them in public than the garbage being 'lauded' these days.

About the remixes, Neil said, his fav is the Trentmoller mix of Sodom, and he also likes the Alter Ego mix of Psycho., and the Michael Mayer mix of Flamboyant.

the trentmoller mix is awesome but I still like the original better. and the michael mayer flamboyant mix is particualrly addictive. I'm listening to it right now on endless repeat. it's hard to let go!

so did chris not say which one of the 'ism' mixes was his favorite?

I think it's funny how dogmatic (there's a good name for a PSB album) people are about tracks being singles. e.g. 'X is definitely not single material'. We're all wannabe industry pundits I suppose.

I am getting to love Fundamental so much now that I think it doesn't matter which track is released (if any) as single number three.

Luna Park would make a big haunting single for the autumn (reminds me of Gary Numan's concept of 'The Park') as the nights draw in

20C would make a good single (adds to their Protest Song credentials; less fussy than I'm with stupid; slightly unusual and I love the guitar intrusion 'Stay with me ... this century')

Numb - maybe one for the US market (but maybe I'm 20 years out of touch) and one for Christmas even. Would probably be the bigger seller and I could see them doing it on Jonathan Ross and Parkinson.

Excuses - I flew a kite about Excuses as a leftfield Christmas release (or how about week between Christmas and New Year as a post-party down-to-earth-with-a-bang job) and got shot down by most correspondents.

Casanova - like this track too but it would be good for Rufus to release his version as a single
