They've definitely earned loads of money. I guess how rich they are will depend on well they've invested it. Who knows what financial portfolios they have, fingers in pies n' all that?
I wonder what their biggest royalty cheque ever was?

I think that info. was probably wrong - Chris had his Clerkenwell flat from 1996 onwards
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Yeah, I think it once said in Q that Chris lived above Mezzo, but I don't think it was true. Perhaps he just went for a viewing or something?

Chris lived above Mezzo
Urgh, would be gross living in Soho. Not a big fan of loft-style living myself, very stylised and slightly tabloid. Chris is a bit chav really.

I remember an interview in the mid nineties where Neil said they were only in the between 1-2 million bracket. He stated that big financial loss on a tour could mean they lose it all. That won't of course include assets like houses.

Check out the Pet texts on official site
I´d love to have that much money and they still claim that they´re not rich.

I remember Chris Heath asking the Pets in summer 1989 if they were rich. Neil said yes, but only very recently because they had just received a large royalties payment from EMI for the first time. Presumably this would have been for Actually?

Also, the Pets had to pay Bobby Orlando a million dollars. That would probably have eaten up a lot of the Please royalties.

I also remember Neil saying many years ago that his brother Simon - an accountant - was outraged by Neil's refusal to invest his money in the stock market. He said his money was just sitting in the bank. This was a long time ago though (1987?) so I very much doubt that it would still be the case. The Pets seem far too canny for that. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they owned a fair bit of property between them.

But is that how much the Pet Shop Boys are worth as a business, or what their personal wealth is? Many business owners pay themselves most of the proceeds and retain a small amount within the buisiness for expenses, tax reasons, etc. When asked, many of these business owners will state the worth of their business, and not their personal wealth. For example, did The KLF burn their own personally saved million quid, or just the money that was left in KLF Inc.?
