I'm glad people are finally warming to Numb.
A lot of the people were causing themselves unnecessary suffering on account of the fact it's not a Tennant/Lowe composition.
Retro.

*sigh*
i truly am sorry to say this, but i have given Numb sooooooo many listens hoping that i would miraculously suddenly like it, and it hasn't happened and never will....and one of the main contributing factors is the way neil is singing.
am i one the few who hates this song with a passion? i hate it so much that it has almost ruined the latter half of the "fundamental" era (if i can call it that). but then again I'm with stupid already did that!
i'm not a happy psb camper.

As for me, I have pre-ordered the single from Esprit (all commercial formats, hehe).
But I still haven't heard this new "single version". Sometime in the middle of October I'm going to be hospitalized for an ortopedic treatment that I need to have (it's a long story, but DO NOT WORRY GUYS! ..... and please forgive my bad English...it's going to be a surgical operation). Well, I guess I'll have the chance to listen to it when I get back home, hehe
Greetings from Rome!

I actually like the way he sings it - he invests quite banal lyrics with passion which is almost the antithesis of PSB. Numb subverts the PSB canon.

I think even more to the point was the fact that, not only wasn't it a T/L composition, it was *gasp* a Diane Warren composition...
Why does the video use the album mix though?
E (who also still needs to hear the single mix)
